I feel pretty good about the series. No MadBum thankfully we are awful against lefties. We do really well against hard throwers and other teams aces all year long plus we have the experience. Murphy can't possibly continue his pace unless he sold his soul to the devil. Volquez actually makes me the most nervous i just hate watching him pitch he'll do good but he pitches so slow and then he starts struggling walking like 3 guys in a row and it takes him 30 minutes to finish an inning. Should be good series I actually like the Mets I was cheering for the Cubs because I think a Royals-Cubs would have been Joe Buck's worst nightmare but I think we'll win it in 6.

future dodger david pricesox are going to sign him if the dodgers dont imo
Price won't be a dodger imo. I know they have a like a 300 million dollar pay roll, but Friedman doesn't strike me as someone who'll hand out a 200 mil contract to a 30 year old pitcher.

How high are the Dodgers willing to go on payroll?

payroll isnt an issue
They definitely want to get younger and deeper so if it means eating money to acquire prospects like jose peraza, theyll do it

So for now, no limit. But it'll eventually stabilize and they wont have to have a 300m payroll

David price, greinke, whatever
They need starters. Their top prospects arent quite ready for a full season yet
Ryu is a question mark. Remember, he had shoulder surgery
Mccarthy is out til July? after his tommy john
So theyre going to have to sign guys or trade. It's mandatory

With brett anderson a fa and zack as well, right now their #2 starter is alex wood, #3 is mike bolsinger

As for the world series, this is what its all about
Kinda hard to gauge it. Both teams have different strengths. Can't simulate what the other team has with their nl or al counterparts
New unique foes and thats cool

I want to say royals, but then i look at their roto and laugh, mets kill the starters matchups all 4 games
But then you remember the royals pen is a joke and all they need is 5 innings
Then you remember the mets are just going to use bartolo, noah, degrom, matz in the pen on their throw days and mejia for 2-3 innings
I doubt their middle guys(clippard, russell) get into the series

So its a tossup
Ill still say royals

If the Mets lose it's because of:

1) The Mets were forced to go to the pen in the 7th or 6th inning.

2) Murphy, Granderson & Cespedes went cold with nobody else stepping up (doubtful against the righties the Royals are throwing out there)

3) They caused havoc on the basepaths, testing the arms of Granderson (2nd to HP, 1st to 3rd)  & d'Arnaud (stealing 2nd & 3rd). Those are really our two biggest weaknesses in the field. Obviously turning double plays is going to be a problem with Flores & Murphy, but challenging the arms of Granderson & Travis is going to be critical.

"A lot of guys might dive right into that pitch"

- Harold Reynolds on a pitch that almost hit Granderson in the head

He was kinda right though. If Cespedes catches that ball. If Wright catches that ball in the 14th inning. The Mets win.
