Bowden said he doesn't think anyone is going to offer him more than the $144M we offered or something like that. He certainly isn't getting anything close to $250M from us lol.

Think if he was gonna get it he would've by now. Teams realize he is a flawed pitcher, regardless of how good he is.

Yeah, unless a team goes nuts late into the off-season like we did with Prince a couple years back lol.

If the price is right, all for it. Would certainly be a MUCH cheaper alternative to Scherzer.

Yeah maybe so.
I really don't even think the talent level is much different between the two. Max is younger and will strike out batters a lot more, but their ERA and WHIP were pretty much identical last year. James will probably go deeper into games too, which will help the bullpen.
