LMAO was looking for a pic of Mett to make a sig with, and came across this:

Zach Mettenberger (LSU’s starting QB) is my cousin but we totally consider each other brother and sister. Don’t know what I’d do without the kid.

This kinda helps with the character concerns lolol.

Not really sure about Mayock's Mett criticism. He says he doesn't get the ball out fast enough. Well, sure, because he wasn't in a spread offense where it's hooks and slants all day like Manziel, Bortles, Carr or even TBW to an extent.

Even if he doesn't get the ball out quick, isn't the fact that he was throwing NFL routes and progressions a plus? All the other guys didn't throw these things at all. So first off, they will have to learn it, then get better at it. All Mett has to do is get better at it. And yes he could stand to throw the ball away more, but that's nothing major.

Looks to me like he made a pos into a neg.

I want the Titans to take Carlos Hyde really bad. I know they won't bc of Greene. Damn Grenne. He isn't even good.

I also want the Titans to trade down really bad. Hopefully recoup that 3rd round pick.

I actually think the Browns will either with their second 1st or their 2nd.

I personally believe they are going to sign Tate, so I don't see it

I know the previous front office liked him I heard, but I think Tate is gonna want too much. I think they'd be better off with a cheaper 2nd round contract on Hyde, who I think will probably be better anyways. And you never know with a Shannahan, they could take a back in the 4th or 5th to be the starter, too.

None of these backs should be looked at until the 3rd at the earliest imo

ehh, I don't see the value in looking at any in the 1st two rounds, so much of what goes into picking running backs is based on scheme nowadays.

I've said it before, but I really like Aaron Murray. There's nothing not to like about him, except size. He's a warrior, man. He could be the shocker of this QB class.

Eddie Lacy proved the opposite last year, IMO. Hyde is a similar back, and he's a great pass blocker and receiver. He's an every down back in the mould of a Lacy/Lynch. Guy's a stud.

Eh, I don't know about "great receiver". You might need someone else in there on 3rd downs

I wasn't keen on his pass blocking either iirc, it's been a while since I watched most of these backs.

I literally haven't seen him miss a block, and have seen him block DE's. Didn't mean great receiver too, but he's a good pass catcher. Due to his ability to block then release, I like him in there on 3rd downs. He's not a WR but he can catch the ball.

The problem is, as a receiver he's not that great in open space. He's one of the best at running over guys, easily one of the best, but in open space one on one giving the defender time to get his angle? Hyde usually loses that battle.

I remember him getting absolutely demolished on a pass block in one game, think it was PSU.

Not saying it happens all the time, but he could stand to improve a bit in that department.

Not to keep piling on him though. He's a great runner. Doesn't hesitate to hit the hole, and accelerates to top speed rather fast (although his top speed isn't great by any means). Never fumbles either. You've gotta be one strong fuckin dude to get him to cough it up

He's got a bit of wiggle. IDK, I'd take him lol.

Yes I remember that now. Definitely not the norm.
