Who else would appoint the investigator? It's the NFLs investigation. If he didn't do it, no one else would.

The point went directly over your head. It's not about who did the appointing but who he appointed.

Why would he not appoint someone he knows? As corrupt as it looks, it's still his job and livelihood. People don't recuse themselves from situations unless forced to, because it doesn't make any sense to do that. He's not going to set himself up to be fired any more than he already has and he's certainly not going to resign from a position that pays as much as his does.

As bosox pointed out, there's a lot more to lose if they do something sketchy, because in a corporation as big as this one, there will be private, independent investigators looking for mis steps.

I'm not even arguing for him to stay on.

Of course he would, this is the entire point.

This law firm, which has already done plenty of work for the NFL, will not purposely perform a poor investigation. They will perform the best investigation they can while making sure that no one from the NFL is found doing wrong and it will work out so that Goodell still has his job and that the "shield" is still protected. Then they can go to their next client and tell them that they got the NFL out from between the rock and the hard place.

And as long as the media believes that this is a legit "hire" by the NFL and the Goodell best buddy owners who are overseeing this sham investigation, it will be believed to be legit.

Your agenda is just as motivated as their perceived one that you're throwing out there.

The NFL just wants to be able to throw anything that paints the league in a bad light under the rug. Goodell should face something for this, there isn't another soul in this league that wouldn't. But nothing will come of it, this will be the second time he doesn't hold himself to the same rules or regard as everyone else.

And bounty gate is something completely unrelated to this in the way that Goodell covered up and lied about something that's very controversial. Bounty gate doesn't make that any more or less wrong, so please stop with that stupid preconceived notion. You act like if bounty gate never happened then this wouldn't be as big of a deal as it is. I get the idea that you don't understand the implications of this or simply don't care, which is fine.

Just gained so much respect or LeSean McCoy.

Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy has responded to the tipping controversy that has heated up the internet this week. The 20 cent tip was kind of a statement,” McCoy told reporters Thursday afternoon during a scheduled press conference. “I didn’t do anything wrong and if I had to do it again, I’d do it the same way. Just to be honest, like I’m always, I tip on my service. I think there’s a difference between good service and bad service or just having a bad day. There’s a big difference with just being rude and disrespectful. That’s how that went,” McCoy said. “In any restaurant I go around in Philadelphia, I tip very well. I’m very respectful,” McCoy said. “You can’t be disrespectful and just expect somebody to tip you. I don’t’ care who the person is. That’s why I left my card, so they could see my name. Simple as that.” “If you check on that restaurant, the backlash that has from everybody talking bad about that place, but good food, good food,” McCoy said.

Just picked up Bernard Pierce and plugged him in as a starter.

My other RBs are Joique Bell, Frank Gore, Bishop Sankey and Trent Richardson.

I'd play Bell in the other starter slot.

Gore seems to be favored less than Hyde as San Fran's RB stalwart, Sankey is a rookie I don't trust, Richardson is Richardson.

Do I leave Pierce in or pull him in the next four minutes for Gore, Sankey or Richardson?

Pierce got pulled last week after he fumbled, and Forsett looked pretty decent in his place.  Not sure what that means for Pierce moving forward.

Well I left Pierce in so I can have some interest in this game.  Now I'll have to think about if I start Bell or Gore.

Of course Antonio Brown goes down. I'm still due to miss 2 more players to injury though.

That game was shitty lol.
All 4 Lions pre-season games had higher ratings than that game did. In Michigan at least.
