Winless on the road
Only win so far against a shitty team with no quarterback
Slapdick defense
Elite offense on paper, underwhelming in real life
1-3

You already are, essentially.  Only difference is that about 90% of the Redskins roster is on the injury report.

I must've missed where the Redskins had an elite offense on paper haha

Stop it.

RG3, Garcon, DJax, Morris, Roberts, Reed, Paul, Young

That's a hell of an offense.  Throw in an elite left tackle as well.  Injuries have derailed that for the most part, but you can't say that isn't scary on paper if everything is 100%.

One thing I love about the NFL--we come into every season assuming some things are givens, only to find out there are only a handful of real givens that hold true every single year. Some teams that are supposed to be great are terrible. Some teams that are supposed to be terrible end up being pretty damn good. The unpredictability is what makes this league great.

It's potent but it's not elite by any means. 2 legit WR's but I don't think either is a #1 guy, I'm not sure most people even know who Roberts is, neither TE is anything scary. Morris is a top 10 back, RG3 when healthy might be a good quarterback but who knows.

Elite is just taking it way too far haha

Jordan Reed is very scary, he's just never healthy, which is part of the reason you can't really pencil him in anyway.

Garcon and Jackson both had 1300+ yards last year.  On their own, they're both #1 receivers.  People over-analyze the term "#1 receiver".  A #1 receiver is a guy that can be highly productive as a #1 option.  I think the term most people are trying to use is "prototype" or something.

They do have the potential to be elite, though.  Hell, they're 4th in the league in total yards with all the injuries.  Turnovers and penalties are what's keeping them from being there right now.

I don't see it. Elite offense to me are the Saints, Broncos, etc. The Redskins even 100% healthy aren't in that category.

That's not what it was though. It's just not elite and it starts at quarterback

Have a couple of NFL thoughts.

First, what is going on with these young and developing QBs dealing with their job statuses being threatened while they are just trying to develop? First there was all of the bullshit Tannehill went through last week, which you could atleast try to wrap your head around considering Joe Philbin is a guy fighting for his employment. But now EJ Manuel is benched for Kyle fucking Orton? Doug Marrone is in no threat of losing his job as a 1st year coach, and he's doing THIS?

Second, I watch all Lions games twice. I watch it live, then I DVR it to watch a second time to focus on how certain players play, because I'm a complete loser. Larry Warford is a monster. Like there's only a few offensive lineman that everyone in the country knows by name because of superb play. We all know who John Jansen and Ryan Diem were. Right now, we all know who Tyron Smith, Joe Thomas and Jake Long are. War Daddy is about to be like 7 or 8 time All-Pro if he stays healthy and we'll all know who he is.

Elite, great, whatever.  Let's not get hung up on the labels.  It's a potential top 5 offense, and both the Redskins and Saints are kind of failing to deliver thus far.

A little surprised you went with John Jansen over Chris Samuels.

Do you guys have any idea where I can re-watch games?
I can only watch the 1st quarter of the Lions every week, and I don't have DVR. So I'd like to watch the last 3 quarters lol.
