It hasn't just been isolated to those two games though. This happened all season and has continued into the playoffs. Officiating is a part of the game, we all get that, but it doesn't control the narrative. This isn't Kings/Lakers in 2002, none of these guys are blatantly rigging the games in favor of the "stars." This thread turns into the officiating discussion forum way too often and becomes more about what the officials are/aren't calling than what's actually happening in the game.

I was thinking the same thing the other day when I saw Atlanta's crowd. It's weird when most of the teams are doing it and the rest stick out like sore thumbs.

I'm pretty sure they do. One of the west coast teams (I think SF) had a coach several years ago who suited up Barney Stinson style for every game.

Mike Nolan did, but they are only allowed to wear them if they get permission.  They have a contract with Nike that requires them to wear their gear.
 
Unless they've changed the rule, I don't know.
