Eh they acquired a decent bench scorer in Lou Will, I'm not mad.

I think they're done, but they should have added someone like blatche. Not a fan of Hayes and Bebe might not be ready.

I've got a pretty good handle on this now I think after doing some research.

Pels traded the Clippers 2016 pick (I think it was '16, but don't quote me on that) top 55 protected to Cleveland for Gee. That pick is basically fake, and Gee's contract is unguaranteed. This is significant because having Gee involved means you get to keep Austin Rivers, which I think was a big priority for Dell.

You lose the MLE in the process, might still have a couple million left over though. Maybe like 2M, but I'm not completely sure on that. I heard this Asik deal will be completed earlier Sunday morning. That could be at like 12:01AM or 9:00AM that morning, who knows. But it should happen early. I also heard that the deal may not make sense until Monday at the latest, which leads me to believe there's another trade in the works. Maybe it's gonna latch onto the Asik deal somehow, I don't know. But I think the Pelicans have not renounced their free agents yet (this was one of the ways they could have kept the MLE) which leads me to believe you'll see atleast one or some combination of Brian Roberts, Al-Farouq Aminu, Jason Smith, etc packaged with maybe another low salary guy to some team for a three. Like a Jared Dudley, Martell Webster, or Mike Dunleavy.
