Have at it.  We're done.  We're the drunk chick at the frat party who is taking doubles.  Just shove it in.

Eulogy time for the Tigers.  Done like dinner.  Lose a Porcello start and a Price start at home in September when you're in 2nd place, clawing for 1st... yeah, it's done.  Football.

I hate him more than Rod Marinelli and Michael Curry (coach version) combined.

Leyland got a lot of shit when he was here (some justified, some not) but he never pinch hit a .200 hitting backup outfielder with no pop in the bottom of the 9th down a run when there were people who could actually hit left on the bench.

I would bet 80% of people who wanted Leyland fired a year ago are now direly missing him.

I'm still behind Ausmus. I think he was given a pretty tough situation for a rookie manager.
Perhaps we would be better with Leyland right now, but I still think it was time for a change.

I don't know, he was given a team ready to win. Of course there's holes but overall this is puzzling to me. Also came with high expectations but I don't know, something is missing somewhere. Smyly struggles to do much in Detroit, goes elsewhere and pitches great. Price pitches great for the Rays and comes here and doesn't do what he was doing in Tampa. Granted, he has had some great starts but a few clunkers as well. Team just plays with no consistency. Lineup seems to be different every game. I really don't know what to think of Ausmus. I really don't think it was smart of the Tigers to hire a guy with absolutely no managerial experience with a team ready to win. Look at what Lloyd has done with the Mariners....

You are really giving managers too much credit for a team's success.

I never really thought the roster was strong, going into the season especially.
Still thought we would win the division though.

Brad has no idea how to put together a lineup. At least when Leyland would do weird stuff with the lineup he actually had a reason for it. Brad makes stupid decisions without rhyme or reason. Just look at tonight. Don Kelly's batting 6th ahead of Castellanos and Avila and he's playing Centerfield. Why? Who knows.
