The Royals are really winning the World Series this year aren't they?

No. They'll make it there and make us Tigers fan want to kill ourselves, but the Giants will win it because it's an even year.

Royals really want it. But I can imagine the Cardinals breaking their heart, or the giants winning it all.

Where does this rank among the biggest flukes in sports history?

I'm honestly not even that salty about it, it's a serious question

I don't think it's a fluke tho. Everything is clicking for them right now.

Let's not forget the wild card comeback. The one Yost almost threw away.

The Royals are the first team EVER to win their first 8 games to start the post-season, and they had a +27 run differential this year. It's definitely a fluke. Their starting pitching isn't that good, and their hitting is just above average.

The Royals will best the Orioles and go to the World Series because the universe loves to torture Tigers fans. Royals will lose to either the Giants or Cardinals there since the Giants, Cardinals or Red Sox win every World Series. If somehow the Royals won the World Series though, while being managed by the worst manager in the history of baseball, I will quit watching baseball forever.

I can't get enough of the name Rusty Kuntz. Definitely up there with the best names of all time along with that Robert Redford hair.

Bruce Bochy vs. Ned Yost in a World Series is like Yoda vs. Helen Keller in a sword fight.

If you asked me at the start of the post season to pick the worst possible match up in the World Series, this would probably have been my pick.
