I can't get enough of the name Rusty Kuntz. Definitely up there with the best names of all time along with that Robert Redford hair.

He can't get back soon enough. Fucking phenom. Had someone tell me today that Donaldson was better in the field and I laughed in their face.

Did I mention that I would quit watching baseball if Ned Yost won a World Series? Are you fucking shitting me with getting Dyson on base with 2 outs in the 7th and you let Herrera bat instead of making the pinch hit and bringing one of the other stud relievers in for the bottom of the inning? Is this guy from outer space?

They're using up their next 29 years of karma to make this run. It's frustrating for any team that's been in the playoffs year after year and never come out on top. They make postseason baseball look easy, the hitters always find a way to come through, the pitching staff gets outs when it matters and their defense never makes mistakes. Ned Yost can push any button he wants and it all works out in the end. The team that wins the world series usually has some sort of "destiny" going for them and if the Royals aren't a "team of destiny" I don't know what is.

It helps that the Giants themselves are incredibly average

As if it wasn't already painful as fuck to tune into this baseball game, the first full game I'm planning to watch since the Tigers were eliminated, Nick Swisher is on the pregame booth?

Lack of posts in this thread show how awful this matchup is.

Series has been good though.

I'd prefer to see Nick Swisher stay in the broadcast booth for forever
