The Royals just have that will that it takes to win it all. I'm not saying they are going to but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.. The game against the Athletics showed me a lot, to get down multiple times to bounce right back. Resilient, confident and play with a lot of heart. Can't say it'd hurt my feelings if they won it all, even if they are in the same division as the Tigers.. If they win this series, I think they win it all..

Well the only reason why I said that is because he gets on base a lot. Idk why he's hitting 6th.

Meh Aoki gets on base at about the same clip as Gordon (.351 to .349 this year) and I guess he wants Alcides #1 for the speed factor. I agree that 6 is probably too low though. I'd switch him and Butler but I think that's a case of him wanting to split the two lefties to make it harder to match up.

Will never understand why managers always put the "speed guy" at lead off, even if they can't do anything but run. Literally no point. Their speed isn't doing much at the top of the lineup if they're never getting on base

I would bat Aoki leadoff but apparently when they put Alcides there he got hot. I've heard them say that in at least 3 Royals playoff games.

EDIT: Just looked it up, .397 OBP batting #1, but only in 16 games (not counting playoffs)

I guess it depends on how much the team likes to involve the running game.

If his SB% is pretty good then it turns any single or walk into a double essentially.

I  spoke to Mexi before the match, and he told me that his team REALLY wants to win this one.
