Rangers, Dodgers? Heck I still think Tigers will be good offensively. Your outfield/DH spots are awesome, but I really don't like their infield at all.

I dont think the Rangers, Tigers, or Dodgers have a better lineup 1-9 than the Yankees though..

you can have the best offense in the world, at the end of the day your manager sucks and the team will collapse .

Girardi almost got us into the playoffs with a shot ass team for majority of the year last year. He's fine.

It falls on the rotation and the bullpen to keep us together.

i never have and still do not believe hes right for that team. the market is just too tough for him. hes did alright last season but hes not strong enough mentally imo.

I have to disagree with you.. I think Girardi is a very good manager.

Personally I think Girardi is a great fit for the Yankees.

He knows New York, he understands the monumental expectations, and he's not intimidated by any of it.

On top of it he's actually a good baseball manager, just tends to over-manage and play matchups a little too heavily sometimes.

And lets face it..if you can get the Marlins to win you're gold.

Its real premature to say you have the best lineup top to bottom. Your lineup still has a ton of question marks.

Beltran is aging, Soriano, Nunez and Johnsonare potential black holes on the lineup andDerek Jeter has been riddled with injuries for the past couple years, and McCann and Texeira haven't been the same hitters for 2 years. Potentially they can do a ton of damage offensively but still a lot of question marks.

On paper we have the best lineup, even with the age of some of them.

But that's nothing new for the Yankees going into a season.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Blue Jays are a "leading candidate" to sign either Ervin Santana or Ubaldo Jimenez.
The Blue Jays' two first-round draft picks -- Nos. 9 and 11 -- are both protected, so they'd only have to forfeit a second-rounder (and the accompanying pool money) to sign either pitcher. The club has also talked to the Cubs about a trade for Jeff Samardzija as they attempt to upgrade their rotation. At last check, both Santana and Jimenez were looking for $17+ million per season.
