Houston is just a little too confident sometimes

Clunkers vs teams they should beat, but get amped for the good teams

I think it has to do with starting two defensive liabilities and taking the 3rd most 3s per game. Clunkers will happen

Kevin McHale is hands down the worst in-game coach I have ever seen. There are no excuses for that. Teams that go ice cold still drop at least 30 in a half.

Chalk up another unacceptable loss for this team. They're just piling up, and it's mostly due to McHale. Now, I'd lose my focus a bit if I'd had two family deaths in two years (one of them a complete tragedy, the other expected but still tough to deal with), so I have to assume that's part of it, and I hope he can refocus after the All Star Break because the losses this team is conceding is getting out of hand.

They may not be contenders this season, but they are certainly better than this.

they lost to a better team. thats not unacceptable. now the 19 second half points are, but not the loss.

The Thunder are not a better team with or without Westbrook. With Westbrook they're a better team right now. Without him Houston should be winning these games.

As to who's the better team (healthy) when end of the season rolls around, we'll see. Houston's taking more time than they should to gel, but McHale's gone and fucked up his rotation and everything. I can't blame the guy for losing focus considering what's happened in his life these last two years. I mean, how do you recover from losing a child? I think the best thing for the team would be for him to resign. Let Kelvin do the coaching.

I don't think losing a child has much to do with his rotations...

No, but an overall lack of focus can lead to these things. That's what I'm saying.

What's wrong with rotations anyway?

He's down to pretty much Frankie, Casspi, and Brooks. All three are cold, and defensive liabilities to boot. Frankie matches up well with some, but otherwise is less than impressive on that end.. We have DMo for a reason. We have Asik for a reason. We have Greg Smith for a reason.

Play them. Figure out how to get some bench production. It's that simple.

This belief that some teams have that 8 deep is ideal. The best teams aren't scared to go to ten.

You're naming big men when the Rockets' offense is predicated on having four three-point threats on the court. If you're complaining about their defense, what other options at the wing do they really have? The team just isn't constructed very well.

Pretty sure Asik isn't playing for reasons other than McHale, but I'm not positive what's going on there anymore.

Hopefully Eric Gordon is upping his trade value, his last 10 games he's averaging 20 pts on 51% shooting, in his last 5 games he's averaging 23 pts and 4 asts on 53% shooting.
