No Eric Gordon tonight, unreal. This team has to have a healthy stretch at some point, right? Right?!?!

Yeah they might get to .500 if they did.

I dont focus on anything else. Aliens only want to win championships. Thats it. Injuries is not a focus. Trade talk is not a focus. Nothing is a focus. Gluten-free pasta is not a focus, which I would rather have gluten-free pasta. Hey, if I have to have regular pasta. It is what it is. Im still going to try to win a championship. Nothing will distract me from my focus, my galactic mind.

I wouldn't say it's much higher than that.

Which sucks because I'd like to see someone else in the Finals.

That type of play won't work in the playoffs man. You said yourself that Portland had no chance. The Rockets don't have much of one either.

There's a difference between a pure jump shot team like Portland and a team like Houston, who has plenty of opportunities in the post. While Aldridge can post up, he doesn't do it as much as Dwight. Add in the fact that he has to take more jump shots because Robin Lopez isn't about to, and their style of play is completely dependent on draining shots. Houston has a constant post game. Dwight has been fantastic, lately. Terrance has been fantastic, lately, and while he's not a post up player, he cleans up a lot of misses along with Dwight.

I understand your point, but Houston and Portland are drastically different teams.

Also, they don't have an attacker who's as efficient as Harden.

The Houston Rockets shoot 33.5% of their shots from behind the arc, by far the highest number in the league.

That's because they have spot up shooters who are often open because of Dwight and ball movement, not because it's the only thing they can do. Not only can James attack, Chandler's gotten way better at finishing a the rim. Houston has the best center in the league, great shooters, and one great slasher and another who's ascending, not to mention Lin, who seems to be finding his game and is finishing at the rim. While he doesn't play a ton of minutes, Aaron Brooks can also finish in the lane.

Houston has other options. It just so happens that the only jump shots they take out beyond the arc.

Portland posts up 2% more than Houston does...

And they are better at it.

James Harden also isn't going to get 25 FTAs in the playoffs. They aren't a threat.
