At the way things are going, I will be extremely happy if we get a Top 5 pick. Wiggins, Randle, Parker, Exum, and Smart are all beasts. I hope we can trade Rajon/Green/Bradley to get some more picks
Whats happening lately?
Because I feel like im the only one who doesnt think the celtics suck as much as others seem to, but I could be overrating them

I know rondo is still out, but the east is so top heavy the celtics could accidentally contend for a low playoff seed

it really all depends

Our perimeter defense when Rajon comes back will probably be the best in basketball. Rondo, Bradley, and Crash Wallace..damn.

I forget where I saw it, but it's a perfect statement: the C's are led by guys who you'd want to be your #3 option. We don't have a go-to scorer, and you usually need one to do well.

On the other hand, we will have excellent ball movement and spacing. Kelly Olynyk's ability to shoot from the perimeter and pass EXTREMELY effectively at 7'0" really helps us run the Brad Stevens 4-spread offense (1 post player). In our probable starting lineup (Bradley, Crawford, Green, Olynyk, Sullinger), you have 3 guys who are very solid at shooting of a cut. If we run Kelly to the high post, and pass it to him, I feel confident in him either turning around to hit that Dirk-like jumper, or being able to pass it to the corner 3 or the low post to Sully

We have a lot of potential as a team: a lot of solid role players led by a coach who will expand their talents to the max. But you have to look at it realistically at times:

We are counting on guys who were 3rd options to be top options
We probably have the worst low post defense in NBA history
Our team is young and bound to make mistakes.

In this preseason, we have a lot of nice moments. And then we also have moments of Jeff Green shooting 4-13 and in the process we won't be staying close enough in games to possibly win

I missed it the other night because of work, did anyone see how Asik at the 5 and Howard at the 4 looked against Dallas? I was pissed that I missed it, after seeing McHale's starting lineup.

I didn't see it, but I can't imagine that lineup would be successful for extended periods of time.  A great defensive sub unit tho.

Raptors are beating the Grizzlies 54-27 at the half and JV has 8 rebounds already too.

Worst perimeter offense in the NBA as well lol. Spacing is going to be hilarious on this team once Rondo comes back

Faverani is solid. He's our only true center

And man don't sleep on Jordan Crawford lol. When he is on he can be our best scorer (and that is why we are going after Wiggs)

Going from a injured Eric Gordon to a healthy Eric Gordon may be a bigger upgrade than going from Greivis Vasquez to Jrue Holiday, which by itself is a huge upgrade.
