Also, I can't wait for the Pels to do significantly worse than you expect

You have only one big man, one who I don't think will create that significant of an impact this year. I see 15ppg out of him most likely, at very best. As much as you trash guys like Smoove and Jennings, Tyreke Evans is in that same company. He needs the ball in his hands to succeed, and when you already have a PG who is very overrated in his own, a guy who needs the ball even more, Reke wasn't a good signing either. You bash the Pistons for signing SF Josh Smith, yet you spent $10.3M for this year on a 6th man who won't succeed with Holiday on the court. Holiday realized he is only successful when he shoots the ball a lot. A guy who 2 years ago averaged 14/5 per 36 isn't a guy you trade 2 1st rounders for

That's another thing... How is what Detroit's doing any different than New Orleans? You added some above average players to put you guys in an opportunity to be a 6 seed first round exit. Davis isn't developed yet to be the future stud everyone claims he will become. But if he will, why not just wait? Vazquez was a solid PG, and you could have just drafted better guys instead of trading for Jrue. You could have taken Ben McLemore to be that 6th man/SF role, and then next year draft a Randle/Smart/Exum, or even gotten Wiggins/Parker.

Smart-Gordon-McLemore-Anderson-Davis looks a lot better in 3-4 years than Jrue-Gordon-Reke-Anderson-Davis. As much as you say the Pistons made a bad move, one could argue you did worse

So I'm pretty fucking pissed right now.  I decided to pretty much take my entire day working on a big breakdown on what I think the Pistons should do offensively to have the most success possibly.  This thing was a fucking book.  I finally finish, pretty post new topic, and boom, no internet connection, lose everything except the first few paragraphs and all of the play diagrams I made...

Here is another:

This is a variation of a offensive set called "Horns" which traditionally sets up this like this:

I chose to put Josh Smith in the high post though, and instead of placing two wings in the corners we have Greg Monroe in the short corner.  The goal here is after the PG (Jennings) makes the entry pass to one of the high post players he cuts through the lane to screen for one of the corners.  Monroe is instead lined up in the short corner to give himself a better angle to try and get into the post.  That would be Drummonds first option.  When that opportunity isn't there, Jennings sets a back screen for Josh Smith who looks for the lob over the top of the defense.  This is all very fluid movement that happens over the court of a few seconds.

Drummond then passes back out to Jennings who resets the offense and gets into a two man screen and roll/pop game with Josh Smith, all while the corner man (Billups) is coming off a double or staggered screen set by the two bigs (Monroe and Drummond).  When I was watching some game action I noticed most notably the Knicks and Lakers using this variation of Horns.  The Knicks used someone like JR Smith and Tyson Chandler while the Lakers used Kobe and Dwight.

The Pistons also ran a different variation of Horns, one that was unique to their team.  I never saw another team run something like this.

I just diagramed three of the five players, but basically what we are looking at here is the PG running off the high post, but they also bring up the corner to screen for him as well.  This becomes a high post split, and if the high post player can't find either cutter, he engages in a screen and roll in the corner with the PG.  I saw this set a few times, and they normally ran it with Brandon Knight, Greg Monroe, and Kyle Singler on the floor.

I don't know if he did it as a statement or whatever, but that looked like a more aggressive and more athletic Chris Paul too me.

Tristan has hit three long mid range jumpers tonight right handed. It looks fluid too. This is awesome

Aint nobody give two fucks about Zeller, this camp invite Sims looks better than him, but Tristan has real potential bruh. Skies the limit if this new jumper is legit.

Bynum is close to a return
