Yeah. Joey Crawford is just bad. B-A-D, bad.

Well...Houston fell to home cooking in this second half, so I'm not going to lose any sleep over this loss.

I love seeing a team like Portland succeed, but you can see the seams tearing. They're going to get the 5th or 6th seed, imo.

BWare I thought you said you were going to stop posting complaints about the refs?

I slip up now and then, but it's not going to be what I call "chain-smoker" posts anymore.

Aside from that, I think bashing Joey Crawford should be universally accepted at NBA boards. I mean, come on. Everybody here knows that he affects games.

The Rockets' loss had nothing to do with the refs. Houston was outplayed by Portland tonight. That's not even up for debate...

I watched Houston get mauled on drives a lot, and under the hoop with no whistles, and a bunch of touch fouls on the other end. That affected the game. Houston played plenty hard. They love McHale, and feel bad for him after he's had two family deaths in the last two years. They'll adjust. Kelvin Sampson's a better in-game coach, so hopefully he gets it going by tomorrow.

No one said they didn't play hard. But they got outplayed by Portland. The better team, last night, won.

Pretty soon Portland's going to stop having these nights, because I think it's pretty obvious that they're outplaying their capabilities right now.

Who on their team is playing that much above their capabilities except for Wes Matthews? And the thing is, we've seen Wes play this well for an entire season. Well, not this good, but still really good. When he does decline, they'll have McCollum healthy too.

I guess the question is, do we really think this is a team that can upset OKC, SA, or Houston come playoff time? I don't. I think teams like LAC and Golden State could be susceptible to Portland, but I just don't think they're a top West team, and I certainly don't expect them to stay in the top 3, if even the top 4.

Jump shooting teams regress to the mean, and if they don't they lose in the playoffs.

I don't think they could upset OKC, but who on San Antonio is going to stay in front of Lillard? Who is going to stop Aldridge? Same applies for Houston. Obviously, Houston and San Antonio would cause problems for them as well, but they can play with anyone.

They could, but when measured up against these teams in a 7 game series, I don't think they match up.

Don't get me wrong. I would LOVE to see Portland succeed come playoff time, but I just don't think they'd even get to 7 games with any of these teams. Houston already won in Portland earlier this year, and fairly convincingly. Of course, that was one game where the Howard/Asik pairing worked. Omer took Aldridge out of the game.

And I think SA would put Kawhi on Lillard, and Beverly is enough of a pest to bother him. Lillard wasn't great last night.

I am really interested in seeing how Jrue Holiday matches up to Mike Conley. That's the intriguing matchup.
