He's right about Dwight not being assertive enough, though.

I know it's not a shocker, but goddamn the Knicks suck.

Apparently Jennings fired the ball at one of the refs legs after the buzzer, may want to keep an eye on that.

In a late change, Jeff Van Gundy has been removed from ESPN's broadcast of the New York Knicks versus Chicago Bulls game on Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden.
Van Gundy was assigned to announce the game with Mike Tirico.
“We’re always reexamining our commentating assignments,” ESPN spokesman Ben Cafardo said.
Van Gundy reportedly would be considered by the Knicks to replace Mike Woodson, but the former coach said recently that he "felt badly" for Woodson to deal with speculation about his job status.
“He never wants to be a distraction,” a Van Gundy friend said Wednesday. “He’s very sensitive about current coaches.”

Doc Rivers and the Boston Celtics won the 2008 title together and very nearly won again in 2010.
The Celtics were unable to fully defend their championship in 2009 due to an injury to Kevin Garnett. Garnett remained an effective player, but clearly limited after his initial season with the Celtics.
"I swear if Kevin would've been healthy, we would've won two or three in a row," said Rivers on Wednesday ahead of his return to Boston.
"I wish it could have ended better," said Rivers.

After last nights game, I'm now 100% sure the Pistons need to move Greg Monroe. I know he had 28 and 10, but you just can't play him and Jennings together defensively. And since they both log so many minutes per game, I'm not sure how you stagger their minutes.

I don't think it's a bad thing, I think Monroe is a guy with a lot of value around the league, but as a C.

If yall were to move him, I think yall could get a really good return.

BTW, don't take this the wrong way, because every NBA team would LOVE to have this type of guy, but Andre Drummond. Bigger and more athletic Kenneth Faried?

drummond shows he wants to have an actual offensive game. so far ferried comes off as a fast break, high energy guy. drummond impacts the game at both ends. hes also a gym rat.

he needs to see a therapist before it's too late to fix his free throw woes, though.

and i know gmoe is valuable but for the position we'd need back(small forward) i just don't see a team offering that. i mean, who could we really get? it won't be equal at all, and i actually think we'd get ripped off. best way is to wait for a sign and trade.

Drummond definitely has a bigger impact defensively, but I'd say the thing that really seperates them offensively is Drummonds roll game. Faried doesn't.

Well, yea, Faried played 4 years of College ball, and has already been in the pros a couple. He is what he is, and it's not likely to change. Drummond has had very little experience, very little coaching. To me, it's best to get out of college as soon as possible, because then you can start getting coaching from guys whose future depends on your development. College coaches don't really care about developing weaknesses, they just use your strengths to the best they can. The one guy who I think actually does care, and tries to get you to do some things you're not comfortable with, is Calipari.

Obviously, someone like Faried wouldn't have got drafted had he come out as a freshman, so that's different.

I think they're very different, actually. Faried is that genuine hustle player who's peaked as a player. There are types of raw that you can't fix. Andre is a deep deep pool of potential. In 20 years, only studied fans will remember who Kenneth Faried was. Andre could be a household name.

I'm not saying Drummond is Faried five years down the line.
