Kings draft prospect Ricky Rubio, who was supposed to participate in a light workout at the practice facility early Wednesday afternoon, became ill and returned to the downtown hotel where he and his mother, Tona, are staying. Sources say the 18-year-old Spanish star had a 101-degree temperature and was prescribed antibiotics by the Kings team physician. Team officials were holding out hope that Rubio would fee well enough to work out Thursday a.m., because he officially has to end his visit after 48 hours, or about midafternoon. It was unclear whether Rubio planned to visit NBA franchises in Memphis or Oklahoma City, the two clubs that hold NBA Draft picks Nos. 2 and 3. He also could return to Sacramento later in the week. Sources with knowledge of the situation say Rubio's camp still has no more visits scheduled on this trip. That includes Memphis, which has the No. 2 pick and is a team for which Rubio reportedly has no interest in playing, and Oklahoma City, which might opt for firepower with its No. 3 pick instead of a true point guard who could step on the toes of incumbent rising star Russell Westbrook. If Rubio's American draft tour indeed begins and ends in Sacramento, it will say everything about what's to come.

DeRozan wont be our pick, I dont even think we're considering him anymore. And we also need a PG to run our offense thats why theres all this trading up for Rubio talk

Are all gone and I HIGHLY doubt all of them will be gone, maybe Curry (Thunder, Wizards, Warriors) Hill (Wizards, Warriors) and Holiday (Kings) but Flynn will be there

Id rather Jennings over Flynn though, and I dont see him being a great NBA PG but he wont be a bust, he has too much talent for that, the year overseas didnt help but he knows what to expect coming into the NBA. He's a year ahead experience wise.

One Kings source reiterated that the organization still has doubts about Rubio, and the visit did little to alleviate them. However, there is a split in the camps in Sacramento, with some pushing for Rubio or, if he's gone, Jrue Holiday. Others are pushing for Jonny Flynn and/or Tyreke Evans. ... Sources close to the situation continue to insist that, in the end, the most likely scenario is Rubio going to the Kings at No. 4 if he's still on the board. If he's gone, it sounds like Flynn has moved into second place.

The 76ers are believed to have been focused on drafting a perimeter player for months, but B.J. Mullens could also be on their radar.

They have the 17th overall pick, and this year's draft is deep on guards.

The Philadelphia Daily News printed on Friday that perhaps the 76ers feel as though they can add a guard through a trade or free agency.

Raptors general manager Bryan Colangelo hinted at who the team might draft in a recent radio interview.

Toronto has the ninth overall pick in next Thursday's NBA Draft.

"We're looking really at the guard and wing position ... A couple of point guards, a couple of wings, and maybe one small forward that we'd be looking at," Colangelo told The Fan 590 in Toronto. "The two wings would be DeMar DeRozan and Gerald Henderson, the two point guards would be Jrue Holiday, and Jonny Flynn, and you're probably looking at James Johnson as a possibility who was a great player at Wake Forest this past year, came out early and he's another talented player we would consider there."

I dont see what everyone else is seeing in Henderson, but DeRozan would be a good pick for them Holiday will likley be gone.

According to Marc Berman, the Knicks have narrowed their point-guard draft board to Stephen Curry, Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday, in that order.

Jordan Hill would also be considered if he drops to the Knicks' 8th pick.

I spoke extensively with sources inside Rubio's camp to get a feel for what's going on there. Here's what I know.

Only the Kings have a physical for Rubio. Only the Kings have actually seen his contract. And only the Kings have gotten a visit from Rubio. That could change with the possibility that Rubio could still meet with the Thunder and, less likely, the Grizzlies, but that's where things currently stand.

It's pretty simple as to why Rubio is being selective: He is going to have to pay a lot of money for the privilege to play in the NBA next season. His buyout will cost him something between $5 and $7 million of his own money. That's a lot of money, especially when you consider that Rubio wasn't making a ton of dough in Spain. He essentially will be signing over his paychecks for the next couple of years to his team in Spain.

The Knicks are after Stephen Curry and Jordan Hill, and are looking to acquire the fifth overall pick.

New York is reportedly offering Washington forward Wilson Chandler for the pick.

They don't feel as though they'll be able to get Hill or Curry with their section, eighth overall.

According to the report, on NBADraft.net, the Knicks could offer their pick in the deal or attempt to hold onto it.

I really hope this is just another story someone made up, because Dub C is going to be an all-star, he's got so much potential, and even though the 5th pick is more then enough for him (at this point in his career) I hope it doesnt happen.

The 76ers will use the 17th pick on a perimeter player, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.

There was speculation that the Sixers could use the pick on Ohio State center B.J. Mullens, but he is expected to be off the board when they pick.

Mullens worked out for the 76ers as part of a "long-standing commitment," according to the Daily News.

well maybe it doesnt suck, but the difference between say pick 4 and pick 15 isn't that big.

Idk about that, I think this draft os alot deeper then many think, its not filled with a bunch of guys that can come in and play right away, but it has alot of players that have extremely high cielings.
