I went to the game where he blew that one save but the Indians lost lol. He's really shaky as a closer. He had a lot of close calls.
I was reading this and thought it'd be a positive post lolI hear Rodney is going to be a set-up man. If so, I'm extremely confident he is going to absolutely blow at that spot.
You never know. He could have a comeback yearWhen he pitched in non save situations he was extremely terrible, and I see no reason why that would change if he played in LA.
Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals have reportedly agreed to terms with free-agent pitcher Matt Capps.
According to the Washington Post, which cited Capps' agent in its Thursday report, the former Pittsburgh closer will receive a one-year contract. MLB.com said Capps will undergo a physical the first week of January before a deal is completed.
Capps was non-tendered by the Pirates earlier this month after spending his first five big league seasons in the Steel City.
The 26-year-old right-hander, who was also courted by the Chicago Cubs, was 4-8 with a 5.80 earned run average and a career-best 27 saves in 32 chances last season.
In 271 games, all in relief, Capps has a record of 19-19 with a 3.61 ERA and 67 saves.
Mike MacDougal led Washington with 20 saves last season, but he was also non- tendered earlier this month.
Get him to show Ovechkin how to really close games rather than shoot at will and hope he hits the ntI wonder what the Washington Capitals are gunna do with Matt Capps lol
Duchscherer is the man. I can see them trading him close to the deadline though. He won't finish the year on that teamA's bring back Deuscherer for another year.
Yeah. I agree. Which is fine by me. Get some prospects for a one year contract. Unless we're in the division race.Duchscherer is the man. I can see them trading him close to the deadline though. He won't finish the year on that team
They're gonna trade him for probably a scrub player they think is good, a B prospect, and 2 C prospects. Thats my predictionYeah. I agree. Which is fine by me. Get some prospects for a one year contract. Unless we're in the division race.
