I went to the game where he blew that one save :) but the Indians lost lol. He's really shaky as a closer. He had a lot of close calls.

Lowe has a horrible contract but you have to expect he does better this season...it can't get much worse than last season lol

A's finalized the deal with Crisp. One year at 4.5m with a club option the next season.

I'd love to see Lowe get it back on track. I think he kinda has to now that their rotation just got weaker

Frontrunners for Mark DeRosa down in the bay. I'd appreciate that signing, BUT THEY NEED A BIGGER BAT!!!

I hear Rodney is going to be a set-up man. If so, I'm extremely confident he is going to absolutely blow at that spot.

When he pitched in non save situations he was extremely terrible, and I see no reason why that would change if he played in LA.

Washington, DC (Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals have reportedly agreed to terms with free-agent pitcher Matt Capps.

According to the Washington Post, which cited Capps' agent in its Thursday report, the former Pittsburgh closer will receive a one-year contract. MLB.com said Capps will undergo a physical the first week of January before a deal is completed.

Capps was non-tendered by the Pirates earlier this month after spending his first five big league seasons in the Steel City.

The 26-year-old right-hander, who was also courted by the Chicago Cubs, was 4-8 with a 5.80 earned run average and a career-best 27 saves in 32 chances last season.

In 271 games, all in relief, Capps has a record of 19-19 with a 3.61 ERA and 67 saves.

Mike MacDougal led Washington with 20 saves last season, but he was also non- tendered earlier this month.

Ya I noticed lol. Cmon Jays at least sign a decent veteran pitcher so we can actually have a vet in our rotation.

I forgot all about that. The Giants are in need of a pitcher til Bumgarner is ready. He's ready right now but I'd feel comfortable if they gave him some time.

They need to contact Randy Johnson again lol

Get him to show Ovechkin how to really close games rather than shoot at will and hope he hits the nt

Duchscherer is the man. I can see them trading him close to the deadline though. He won't finish the year on that team
Yeah. I agree. Which is fine by me. Get some prospects for a one year contract. Unless we're in the division race.

They're gonna trade him for probably a scrub player they think is good, a B prospect, and 2 C prospects. Thats my prediction
