Boston and Mike Cameron agree to 2yr/$15.5MM deal
They said he's not part of the deal anymore. They said the center piece of the trade could either be J.A Happ or Kyle Drabek.oh wow, I really like Aumont, he's Canadian too
I had a feeling he might be apart of the deal
That's a sick ass 1-2 punch. The Phillies fans just have to hope that Hammels was as good as he was in 2008 or maybe even better.Lee + King Felix = godly
Good gawd, YES!Aumont is in the deal, he's going to the Phillies
White Sox acquired Juan Pierre for a couple minor league pitchers; Dodgers taking on about $10.5MM of his remaining salary
I didn't know that. I was kinda mad that they didn't pursue him harderRegarding Penny, I would have liked to see the Giants re-sign him, but not to block Sanchez from a spot in the rotation. Sabean indicated that the Giants offered Penny close to what he received from St. Louis, and I never heard from Penny's representatives to confirm this.
Jays traded Taylor for Brett Wallace. The dude could be ready for next season and play in third base. Encarnation is garbage.I'll be happy with Taylor and Drabek
Wait... what?Jays traded Taylor for Brett Wallace..
The Halladay trade is not official yet so this isn't official. The A's are poised to trade highly touted third base prospect Brett Wallace to the Toronto Blue Jays in exchange for outfielder Michael Taylor, a source confirmed to the Bay Area News Group.
But first, other pieces must fall into place regarding the blockbuster three-way trade that would send pitcher Toronto ace Roy Halladay to the Philadelphia Phillies and Phillies lefty Cliff Lee to the Seattle Mariners.
Taylor, a top-rated prospect for Philadelphia, would first have to be shipped to Toronto as part of that deal before being flipped to Oakland for Wallace
Well. It says on his scouting report that "he's a good athletic guy stuck in a bad body" or something like that. I don't really mind him but damn Michael Taylor would have been an awesome lead off leader if the Jays didn't trade him. Well it's not official yet so ya.Yes! Wallace is a fat ass so I never saw him making a big impact in the Bigs unless it's as DH or maybe 1st. Don't know much about Taylor but he's a top rated prospect so it can't be much of a downgrade potential wise.
NVM about the 3rd base thing then.Blue Jays have had their eye on Wallace for some time -- he was originally selected by the Jays in the 42nd round of the 2005 First-Year Player Draft -- and the club would likely shift him from third to first base.
Yeah, most scouts predicted he'd eventually be moved to 1B or DH.Well. It says on his scouting report that "he's a good athletic guy stuck in a bad body" or something like that. I don't really mind him but damn Michael Taylor would have been an awesome lead off leader if the Jays didn't trade him. Well it's not official yet so ya.
EDIT:
NVM about the 3rd base thing then.
Maybe because the Yankees always sign them.Roy looks good as a Phillie
BTW. I have to say...MLB has the worst free agency. Theres never anything exciting <_<
You have to wait months for your team to make a God damn move <_<
