Personally, I'm an old-school guy that likes to see what the players can do in the field. I use my eyes more than stats to determine who is good and who is not. I do understand stats, but like the way the stat-guy was played in the movie Trouble with the Curve. Going only by stats is a mistake
Bonds has the ability to explain what he sees to others and get them to see it as well. He was one of the hardest working players in the game. I wish him the best.
