Fernandez has several years of control left and Boras won't sign a long-term deal. I would not give up a tremendous amount unless and until he does sign a longer-term (7-10 years) contract.
Roberts spent 7 years in the minors, earning his way to the bigs. He has been the bench coach for the Pads for the last couple of seasons and should be a decent manager.
Anyone that can go undefeated throughout an entire season in a hitter's ballpark like Minute Maid Park in Houston deserves the award. The fact that he pitched well away from home did not hurt him, either. He is simply one of the best in the game, this year.
Not sure anyone will give up 2 type-A prospects for Giles. He doesn't have the pedigree that Kimbrel has. Giles will bring some value back to the Phillies, though.
I'm a Twins' fan and have been since 1961 (yes I'm that old)
My favorite current player is Brian Dozier, and my favorite all-time player was Harmon Killebrew.
I don't have any least favorite players.
My favorite memories were meeting Harmon Killebrew, Bob Feller, Yogi Berra and Ted Williams.
