2nd positive test for PEDs.
All I can say is wow. With all of the medical advice that the teams can offer a player, how can a guy test positive for a 2nd time?
Another blow to the Indians due to a PED suspension.
Don't count too much on him next season, Papi. The average rehab time from TJ is 12-18 months with most teams opting for the 18 months. He won't even throw a baseball until next spring.
This said, he should be back to form in 2018.
Agreed on both counts. The Sox are going for it this year and need another arm. Shields could do OK with Cooper as his pitching coach, but he could turn out to be just like the Shark was last season.
As one who played football in high school for a very good team (we were the smallest school in the "big school" class and were ranked #3 at the end of the season), I will say that I wish I had not played. My knee, shoulder and neck problems all stem from this activity. I separated both...
As long as strike zones are consistent, pitchers and hitters can adjust to it regardless of where it really is.
As to the intentional walks being automatic, I am torn. Occasional wild pitches make the game interesting. I agree that they slow the game down so I would be OK with the automatic...
He needs to have a long bullpen session with his pitching coaches along with a very long video session. His mechanics are really messed up, leading to him getting lit up. His stuff last season was great, but now.......
I am a baseball historian, having followed baseball since the early '60s and reading about it since its inception. I've seen many "all-time" teams and thought it was about time to see what everyone thought.
1 player at each position, 1 righty starter, 1 lefty, 1 closer and 1 utility player.
He was suspended for dehydrochlormethyltestosterone (turbanol) use. From what I have read about PEDs, this is not a really heavy one. It is, however, on the banned substances list. It used to be in some of GNC's supplements, but they have taken it out.
Here is some information on it...
Another player has been suspended for PED use.
My solution to the problem is this -- All players use supplements to help them recover from minor injuries due to the grind of the long season. MLB should either market or license a line of supplements that are guaranteed to be PED free. If...
80 games for PEDs.
For those who don't know this guy, he is an OF/1B that plays for Toronto. He is not a regular, but he was an important cog in the machine that ran the Jays last season.
His control wasn't the best -- 4 walks, but the defense did nicely for him. Also, there were no pressure pitches. The Cubs gave him some runs right away and he could relax and just pitch.
