Darvish didn't make it through the 2nd inning.  His slider was really flat and had "hit me" written on it tonight.  The Astros obliged and even most of the outs (5 of them) were hit hard.

Looks like the Twins did a bit better than anyone thought they would.  And the Giants, Tigers and Mets didn't do as well.

He is an "old-school" manager that believes in fundamental baseball -- hitting behind runners, taking the extra base, playing defense properly.  Not sure how much "shifting" he'll have the Tigers do, but he should help some of the kids get a lot better. No kidding.  This kid needs to tighten up his swing or his career will not be particularly long, IMO.  Coaches are too smart and pitchers are too good at spinning the ball for him to hit a lot unless he closes the holes in his swing.   A number of years ago, I saw a kid in the low minors that...

It looked like Todd Fraizer's homer was flipped with 1 hand.  How it got out is beyond me.  Judge's, however was hit very well.

Judge did not make a good throw, and Castro did not do a good job of presenting himself as the cutoff man.  Had he gone to 2B and let  Didi (with a much better arm) go out into the outfield to cut the ball, they should have had a better chance to get Altuve at home.  

In the NL, we are seeing that Cody Bellinger can play a little bit at 1B.  I haven't checked Adrian Gonzalez' contract status, but he may have played his last regular season game in an LA uniform.  The Dodgers looked pretty good without Seager, but they miss him a lot.
