Happ in the OF is not something anyone wants. Granted Jimenez is an adventure himself, but he has a superior ceiling than Happ. Happ is a MI guy and not something the WhiteSox need.
Thanks. You've show where I reported him traded and that he could get as high as Sale. Nothing about would bring in. So I guess you quoting is your way of saying you are wrong. I agree, you are. You are forgiven.
Rose and Flete are filler, not even lottery tickets. On closer look, the Cubs have an edge in the trade. It's up to Eloy and Dylan to make them regret the move.
You get more suitors in the offseason, but everyone overvalues their own product IMO so the value is actually decreased. I have no doubt in my mind that if Sale was traded today from the White Sox instead of the offseason, you have Devers as well on the team.
I get it and I would agree with your logic. However it does not work that way. Trades net more value as desperation grows. Chapman and Miller would have brought in less in the offseason. The needs is much less.
The thing is no one is judging Q just on this year. And outside of a few rough games he's been the Q he's been going into the season. Plus Sale was traded in the offseason which made his value less.
And those in the know have the answer to that, he missed a significant portion of ST. He did well in WBC on a massive stage. He also has been dominant the last 4-6 weeks. He's fine. and has the age, control, and durability you want.
Every Sox fan knows Sale is the better pitcher. So not sure who you think says otherwise. The issue is his age, contract, and durability. Those that get paid to comment on the game have indicated for a bit that he'd be possibly more valuable in trade. I think that has slipped just a touch. ...
Rumors are Quintana is traded before the season starts again. This could be quite a haul for the Whitesox. Possibly on the same level as the Red Sox deal with Sale.
