See, Mett is 11/12, 169 yards and a TD.
Like Bortles, happy to see him doing very well. BUT it's just preseason.
Hypothetically though, in 5 years, could Luck, Bortles, Mettenberger make up the best QB trio in a division?
AGREED. When I was a little kid that's why I started to like them in the first place lol. That, and Eddie George.
Mettenberger to Hunter for a 64 yard TD! That's the future right there.
He fumbled again though :( He's gotta stop that.
Just a heads up to everyone though, Blaine Gabbert went 13 for 16, 165 yards and a TD in preseason game 2 last year for the Jags.
What Bortles is doing should be taken with a grain of salt at this point.
That's what I was saying lol, smh.
They didn't want all this pressure on him. They didn't want to him to be anointed QB1 with the expectations of a Pro Bowl and a playoff run on his shoulders. They wanted to keep the pressure off of him for any number of situations; if he wasn't actually ready...
What has Manziel done though, OTHER than be a first round pick? That doesn't mean he's entitled to the job.
For the record, I'd start Manziel and try to trade Hoyer. They did take Manziel for a reason, but I also truly feel Hoyer hasn't gotten a fair shot either.
Miller nails it again:

That's exactly why I didn't rate him near the top of the class. Often times it can't be fixed, ala Jake Locker etc. But man has he ever fixed it. Hopefully cleaning up his feet will fix his deep ball too where...
Elcheato, how do you know Hoyer is average? Even he only has 4 career starts, and played damn well in them.
Like I said with Foles, even though he doesn't have the prototypical physical traits, who cares? He can still be good.
