Jacksonville Jaguars star running back Maurice Jones-Drew is open to being traded, following team owner Shad Khan's comments regarding Jones-Drew's holdout.

Commenting on Jones-Drew's holdout, Khan told the Florida Times-Union that the "train is leaving the station. Run, get on it."

Khan's comments irked Jones-Drew enough that he is now open to a trade, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Jones-Drew's agent told the Associated Press that his client "wants to play for an organization that wants him, and for an owner that respects him, and values what he brings to a team, on the field, in the locker room, and in the community." The 2006 second-round draft pick still has two years remaining on his current contract, but is holding out for a richer deal that would give him more long-term security. Khan has remained steadfast in his stance, refusing to give Jones-Drew a new contract.

Jones-Drew has rushed for over 1,300 yards each of the last three seasons, and led the NFL in rushing yards in 2011, with 1,606.
Go gettem lions ;) lol

I guess Brady was recruiting him during the super bowl media thing.

tbh i am somewhat serious.

Right now I am not scared of the Jets in the slighest. Its because Sanchez is the QB. And with no good RBs, Tebow is almost useless.

But give Tebow Maurice Jones-Drew, a Top 2 RB in the NFL, and you got a new situation. Tebow made McGahee from a 380 yard season to a 1200 yard season. Imagine with the most productive RB over the past 3 yrs

Id love MoJo in New England, but the fact that we havent given Welker an extension, we wouldnt give MJD one either, especially with 5 RBs who want to make the roster

That offense isn't going to win a Superbowl

You're not scared of the Jets because Wayne Hunter is still starting at RT, Brick is underperforming, and the rest of the OL outside of Mangold is slightly below average, and our RBs suck.

Mark Sanchez isn't the problem this year and wasn't last year.

I can't believe how badly they're disrespecting MJD.

A guy who, with Blaine Gabbert to Mike Thomas being the prolific QB-WR combo, led the league in rushing last season. All the while not even being one of the top 12 highest paid RB's.

They need to give the man the money he deserves or trade him to a place that will appreciate what he does.

I would love for the Saints to get him, as he would be a good fit. But of course we are loaded, so I feel the Bengals should throw something towards MJD, and if lucky enough to land him they'll be a contender this year IMO. :)

The only reason they haven't, is because they paid him the bug bucks on a front loaded contract. He signed that contract, got paid his money, and should stick to that contract. Plus he's still not playing for pennies. He's due to make $4.45 million this year, and almost $5 million next year.

I'm on the Jags side on this.

lol...Mike Brown but since he have changed and " wants to win it," I wouldn't be surprised.
He's not changed, he's still the same guy in the wrong business. There's no way, he's the same ole cheapster he's always been. Believe me, this sounds really good but when you have Mike Brown as Owner, you don't even give it a .1% probability.
