Go gettem lions lolJacksonville Jaguars star running back Maurice Jones-Drew is open to being traded, following team owner Shad Khan's comments regarding Jones-Drew's holdout.
Commenting on Jones-Drew's holdout, Khan told the Florida Times-Union that the "train is leaving the station. Run, get on it."
Khan's comments irked Jones-Drew enough that he is now open to a trade, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Jones-Drew's agent told the Associated Press that his client "wants to play for an organization that wants him, and for an owner that respects him, and values what he brings to a team, on the field, in the locker room, and in the community." The 2006 second-round draft pick still has two years remaining on his current contract, but is holding out for a richer deal that would give him more long-term security. Khan has remained steadfast in his stance, refusing to give Jones-Drew a new contract.
Jones-Drew has rushed for over 1,300 yards each of the last three seasons, and led the NFL in rushing yards in 2011, with 1,606.
