whole differed era. you cant even compare the two.I get it, but that doesn't mean I have to like or agree with it. I don't know of guys forcing their way to the teams they want to play for though.
Maybe it did happen a few times, but not as often. Now every star player only wants to play for 2 or 3 teams it seems. That's what rubs me the wrong way.
Bill Russell, Larry Bird, John Havlicek, Bob Cousy, Kevin McHale, Dave Cowens, etc all played their rookie years in Boston. None of those guys bolted to a big market because they didn't want to be in a small market and couldn't build their "legacy." Times are different. The whole building of super teams nowadays is crap.
