with the team they have theyre attractive but as a place... ive been there and i wouldnt want to live there. lol. but again, they have a nice team so they wouldnt have any issues other than money. which shows its on the front office. build anyway you can but if you dont do a good job then they should expect to have the stars leave.

:(

Takes me back to horrible times.

Get this, not sure if anyone knows this or not, but back then the Hornets were announced as "Your Hometown Hornets" instead of "New Orleans Hornets."

The key to success is all about your front office. If they hit on their draft picks and make smart trades/FA signings, you will always contend.

San Antonio built around Tim Duncan and they have 4 rings to show for it. They did it with smart personnel decisions and good coaching. They drafted Tony Parker with the 28th pick and got Manu Ginobli with the 57th pick. San Antonio is certainly not a big market and they've been a title contender for over a decade with the same core that stuck around because they were just that, title contenders.

Minnesota, Memphis, Portland, and Denver are all teams on the rise and I wouldn't consider any of those places big markets. Hell, Portland has been able to overcome losing the guy they drafted #1 overall and the guy they drafted 6th overall to knee problems and they're still on the rise.

But are any of those teams you mentioned among the NBA's elite? I feel like all THOSE teams have a certain ceiling, whereas the big market teams have a bigger one because of their ability to lure in FAs.

OKC is a marvelous exception to the rule, though.

Brian Schmitz @MagicInsider
If rumors true that DHoward will not re-sign with L.A., Magic might let him walk. Magic don't want Brook Lopez, healthy or otherwise

Lol @ the Magic

Who cares if Brook is in the deal, you could get 4 first round picks...

This, Jersey just becomes a better option for Dwight if they don't make the trade for him. Would let them keep Brook, MarShon, Humphries and four 1st round picks.

Why would you rather get nothing than get Brook?

Not all of the picks are the Nets picks.

Getting the Heat 1sts was a better compensation for losing LBJ than getting nothing

Boston should call just to take him... we'll take on Hedo's bad deal, and give away KG's expiring with Jermaine

as of now, it looks like a mid first round pick or those 2 who they could have flipped at the deadline

eric gordon has played like 10 minutes this year and has been injury prone his entire career

Good luck telling Magic fans that you let Dwight walk because of what Brook Lopez might want in FA. Regardless, anything is infinitely better than nothing. Four picks and MarShon Brooks is certainly worth more than absolutely nothing.

What does Eric Gordon have to do with how bad that deal was?

And Eric Gordon is at least is young and has value around the league.

The Hornets are also garbage, and are in prime position for Anthony Davis or Andre Drummond. Potential franchise changers.

Nets fans are gonna be happy if they get Howard without trading away all that shit haha. I know I would be.
