One thing I'm gonna miss as the lock out goes on, Mike Brown's obscure faces.

I don't know if any of yall heard this, but I just heard Stern say it will take 30 days to get the league up and running whenever a deal gets agreed on. So basically if a deal was agreed on today it'd be till December 3rd till things are ready to go.

That sucks.

Man Im really tired of this bullshit. When it comes down to it they are both at fault, the owners for overpaying mediocre players when they arent even making a profit. More than half the league reported losses so they obviously need a bigger share of the pie to survive. Its also the players fault for now creating a league where superteams are the norm. A league where players only want to play in high profile cities like LA,NY,Miami, and Chicago.

You dont see this in the NFL at all because the level of play is so much more balanced. A league where teams in Green Bay, Carolina, Cinncinnati, and Tampa Bay are viable and self sustaining.

Just go 54/46 with an MLE, including a hard cap that is slightly more favorable for the players. Itll appease both the owners because they get a bigger share of the revenues and the players still get the MLE. The owners also dont feel cheated by teams that are going 20 million over the soft cap that is currently implemented.

End of Rant.

Guys if the lockout resumes and Baron Davis is waived, why wouldn't he fit with the Lakers? They aren't running a triangle anymore...

Sunday's charity game in Indiana was canceled. Organizers say players were "advised to prepare for the NBA and NBPA reaching an agreement."

For what it's worth

...i'm not buying it. I think they are too far apart. Players don't agree with each other, the owners aren't agreeing with each other...no deal I guess.

But I think they are still talking no?

Also there is a charity game in Salt Lake sometime soon, which has several Jazz players and a weird assortment of players (i.e. Billups, Anthony Tolliver lol)

Apparently they're giving the players until Wednesday to accept a new deal on the table, and if they don't, the deals are going to start getting worse for the players.

Fisher said that they don't believe the offer is fair, and it's not acceptable.

Season looks doomed.

I have no idea how 90% of the league that isn't star players hasn't stepped up and just said give us the 50/50 deal.

They are acting like a bunch of high schoolers. Bickering back and forth and pointing fingers.

"The NBA is trying to pressure us like bullies." Boo-wo. Cry me a river and wipe them away with your millions of dollars you already have.

I heard the NBA wants no sign-and-trades or MLEs for taxpaying teams (teams that are over the cap)

I'm fine with that, if your over the cap, you should be punished more than a tax.

Apparently MJ told the players they deserve 37% of the BRI split

I heard it was more like 45% but yeah. He didn't think a 50-50 split was a fair offer.

MJ, the one owner who can look at the lockout and have an accurate understanding of what both sides are going through considering he's the only owner who used to sit on the other side of these tables, is the one proposing the most asinine things.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they missed two years.
