Chris_Broussard Cavs, Pistons, Twolves discussing 3-team trade that would give Cavs 1st & 2nd picks, sources say.
I assume Cleveland would end up with Rip? There were rumors we would resume talks with Cleveland about Rip after the lottery.

Wtf. I know this is a weak draft and all, but we need that 8th pick. If this trade goes through, there has to be something lined up for us in terms of other deals. Or perhaps Gores told Dumars to grow a pair.

Cavs absorb Rip Hamilton into 14.6 mill trade exception & get Det's 8th pick. Cavs send 4th & 8th picks to Minny for 2nd pick

I know dude. So gay. We better get something out of this deal or else it would be a horrible deal on our part.

Beasley or Flynn maybe... just random guesses.

I'm sure we get some players back.
Which is okay with me, cause this draft is weak and I want to get rid of Rip.

I've always had a feeling Cleveland was coming away from this draft with Irving and Derrick Williams, this trade would make that almost official.

C - Anderson Varejao
F - J.J. Hickson / Antawn Jamison
F - Derrick Williams / Antawn Jamison
G - Richard Hamilton / Baron Davis
G - Kyrie Irving / Baron Davis

100 times better than what they put out there last season. Maybe could even compete for a playoff spot (8th seed obviously), depending how Irving/Williams translate to the NBA and if Hickson continues to progress.

If we trade an expiring and a lottery pick for nothing, I will personally kill Dumars myself.

I agreed, their team would be amazing to watch

Source: #Pistons wouldn't trade Rip, who's almost becoming an expiring contract w/lockout coming, and get rid of a draft pick

Now "sources" are saying that Detroit isn't even involved. I don't buy it. Dumars has always held a very strict guard to things being made public. He is a very private GM.

He probably isn't involved. He's a vagina.
What could we possibly do here?

We'd probably buy him out, but if we was willing to actually play and not be a locker room distraction, it wouldn't be that bad to keep him if he doesn't want a buy out. I wouldn't mind getting 1st and 2nd, but I would also be intrigued by having 1, 4, and 8.. I've always felt that we were gonna make a deal with the Pistons for #8. We'll see.
