Apparently the Cavs are buying hime out and he's going to sign with Chicago.
It's about the money man.if rip was smart he would have done this at mid season. honestly, he woulda helped the bulls out 10x more.
the buyout was for like $9Mill UP FRONT then he takes the min, and then he'd get extended. hes an idiot.
Then you have to realize he has a lot of pull in the Pistons Organization due to Dumars lol.the buyout was for like $9Mill UP FRONT then he takes the min, and then he'd get extended. hes an idiot.
Did we hop in a time machine back to February?Apparently the Cavs are buying hime out and he's going to sign with Chicago.
What other options?Did we hop in a time machine back to February?
I don't want Rip anymore. I would have liked him as a deadline addition, but now that its the off-season, I'd rather look at other options.
O.J. Mayo is the ideal fit, but I'm convinced we aren't working a deal with the management in Memphis. What other options?
An aging Jason Richardson who's clearly lost a step (and really wants to stay in Orlando), Jamal Crawford, which would only hurt the Bulls defensively but give them an offensive spark they need, OJ Mayo maybe but who knows if he's available, that's about all I can think of.
I wouldn't call OJ the ideal fit in terms of playing style, maybe because of his age and stuff like that. You need somebody who's more catch and shoot (J-Rich) than another ball-dominant back-court player.O.J. Mayo is the ideal fit, but I'm convinced we aren't working a deal with the management in Memphis.
J.R. Smith is also an option.
Why should the Cavs buy out Baron? He's going to be a great mentor to Irving.Cavs should buyout Baron
and about this potential trade, cool
this would only happen in this weak draft. good for cleveland for potentially jumping at the chance at getting #1 and #2
and Rip potentiall going to Chicago, meh. They dont need another spot up mid range jump shooter. what does Rip do differently than Deng on offense? not much
they need a guy who can get his own shot. Rip can, sure. but he's a lot better being spoon fed. he'd be an upgrade, but they should look elsewhere first
You couldn't be more wrong.I wouldn't call OJ the ideal fit in terms of playing style, maybe because of his age and stuff like that. You need somebody who's more catch and shoot (J-Rich) than another ball-dominant back-court player.
Exactly. We need a SG that can create for himself and handle the ball, not another guy that can't create his own shot (definitley no catch and shoot guy).OJ Mayo is actually a better fit, because Rose is the only guy on their team who can get to the rim. Maybe getting a SG who can take some of the ball handling duties away from him would be good.
Agreed and Byron Scott likes to run two PGs at the same time so Baron will still get a lot of minutes. Why should the Cavs buy out Baron? He's going to be a great mentor to Irving.
