I know. I would pick the Heat or Lakers. But I'm waiting for someone with the balls to pick something out in the dark.

Milwaukee and Atlanta both over Chicago?

People are overrating Milwaukee IMO. Skiles doesn't last very long in places, he's probably at the end of his run in Milwaukee and if it ends anything like it did in Chicago, it's not gonna be pretty. Bogut is injury prone, Jennings is up-and-down, should improve this year. Maggette has never played for a winner. Mbah-a-Moute and Drew Gooden are their power forwards? LOL They have a nice looking roster, but they're no threat in the East.

PJ wins 'em in 3's. I don't see it changing this year.

12 titles in 20 years has gotta solidify him as the greatest coach of all-time, if he's not already.

before someone comes in here saying they didnt pick the lakers, i mean picking the Lakers to make the Finals

there's always someone saying they wont which is absurd most of the time. far and away above the west, and so far im glad you guys see it

i hope you're right BKS. my heart of hearts says the Lakers will win again, I LOVE this team, but I still cant dismiss the Heat. LeBron and Wade is too much for me. and Bosh, <Censored>
I hope their doubters are right about them not being ready yet

The Heat supporting cast is awful... Ilgauskas is old as <Censored>. Chalmers is a mystery. Udonis Haslem and Mike Miller are the only decent thing coming off the bench. House can do nothing but hit a 3. James Jones? Carlos Arroyo? Juwan Howard? Jamaal Magloire? DeSean Butler? I don't think so...

Bynum and Gasol in the post is way too much for Miami. Artest and Bryant are going to do their best to defend Wade and LeBron. Plus a supporting cast of Odom, Fisher, Blake, Barnes, etc. Gimme the Lakers.

If LA and Miami play in the finals, Miami will win it. Book that.

Can talk all you want bout LA, but no team is going to stop the firepower the Heat got.

I thought defense wins championships?? Being from Detroit you should know that.

They got defense too. Wade and LeBron are great defenders. Bosh is not a bad defender either. Any whomever they throw out at C and the last spot in the lineup will likely be put it solely on defense.

i said the heat would win on the first page Rip lol

but i dont know. im flip flopping like crazy
BKS is right
Z is crap, Juwan is crap, Joel Anthony is crap
Chalmers sucks and he wont be playing much. They're going to give him a chance to play PG, but they will give him a short leash. and I dont think he can be like a Mo Will or DFish and just stand around shooting 3's like they'll need
leBron is already their quasi PG, but he'll be full time PG soon enough

Carlos Arroyo is the worst player I have ever seen. James Jones hasnt done anything in years, Eddie House is going to be good for them though. Miller and UD too

i dont know. my head is hurting

Again, i LOVE the Lakers roster. LOVE it. I havent loved a team like this before

Did you say Bosh isnt a bad defender?
yikes Rip, you're better than that

now maybe he'll turn into Pierce and Ray Allen and all of a sudden become nice defenders, but before I see it, no
Juwan cant jump and isnt even a good "body" defender anymore
Z cant do <Censored>
Magloire? lol im surprised he's still in the L
Joel Anthony is awful. Every time I see him he's too small and always late
Chalmers is ok, Arroyo is awful, Miller is decent, UD is decent but small, House/James Jones are allergic to D

Why do you degrade literally every player on other rosters and then praise yours?

Odom is good. Barnes is trash. Blake is average. Ratliff is done. Brown is nothing. Pau can't defend. Bynum won't stay healthy. I don't see how the Lakers bench is heaps better than Miami's.

I mean it's not hard to bias-lly say a player sucks cause you don't like the team.

Also how does defining a team player by player make them worse or better. Will they experience a series of 1 on 1's or something to decide the winner of a game?

LA>MIA.

Lets be serious here. LA has one back-to-back championships already. Miami hasn't played a game with their roster. This isn't even a serious discussion right now.

Same thing was said for Boston after they were assembled. I was dumb enough to pick against them then, stating their chemistry wouldn't be there. This Miami team is better than that Boston team, and already likely has ton of chemistry due to the fact all of the big 3 were good friends before this, therefore I won't make that mistake again.

And I don't see how this isn't a serious discussion lol. Even ESPN analysts agree with me, as does the oddsmakers.

^^^This. As for the Lakers... Blake is a good backup point guard. Brown played decent when Kobe went down last season, and he's an athletic guy that's gonna bring hustle off the bench. Barnes is a good defender, Ratliff is a good defender. Odom is one of the best 6th men in the league.
