According to a source familiar with his strategy, Carmelo Anthony would accept a trade to multiple teams and the Magic and Knicks are at the top of his wish list.

Anthony's plan to leave Denver this off-season went into motion last week while Anthony was in New York for a Nike event.

According to the source, the Nuggets were advised to begin exploring trades for Anthony since he intends to leave the team as a free agent next summer.
Report: Carmelo Could Force Trade To Knicks

It has become clear that Carmelo Anthony is unlikely to sign a contract extension with the Nuggets, which has ignited rumors of possible trade destinations.

There are two ways that Anthony could force a trade in the near future. He could sign the three-year, $65 million extension Denver has offered him and demand a trade.

He could also refuse to sign, leaving the Nuggets to trade him or receive nothing when he becomes a free agent after this season.

"The persistent belief is New York is where he wants to end up," according to the New York Post.

More hype over another player who hasn't won a thing at the professional level.

haha... sorry Twill, but players don't win championships -- TEAMS win Championships.

and that franchise hasn't put a good enough TEAM out on the court to win a title. Let the man go to NY with Amare.

I wonder how much some of these other big stars want to team up on 1 team and take down Wade, Bosh and LeBron.

It also already looks like Carmelo doesn't plan on signing the $65M extension.

Like I said earlier, Melo wants to go to New York. Its pretty obvious he does, its like Lebron James all over again. If he trully wanted to stay he wouldve signed the extension already, just like James didnt resign with the Cavs to end all these charades. Just like Mauer signed before the season started to end any speculation. Isaiah Thomas said that Anthony is going to sign with the Knicks as well.

No. I love my teams. I just happen to dislike all of the others.

It’s not like Melo has had crappy supporting casts at all. He would be better off staying in Denver if he wants to win than go to NY. I thought that the Nuggets were better than the Lakers before the 08-09 season.

Sources from SI say that Melo would like to sign a long term deal with the Knicks, Nets, or Rockets if he is traded before coming a free agent.

All from Realgm

Sources: Melo Also Interested In Rockets, Nets

If the Rockets or Nets can present an offer that is agreeable to the Nuggets, Carmelo Anthony is open to being traded to, and signing a long-term extension with, one of these two clubs.

The story was reported by Chris Mannix of Sports Illustrated, citing multiple league sources familiar with the situation.

The Knicks are believed to be Anthony's top choice.
Magic Haven't Discussed Carmelo With Nuggets

Magic general manager Otis Smith says he has not spoken to the Nuggets about All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony.

"We have not," Smith said Tuesday night when asked if he had engaged in discussions regarding Anthony.

Ken Berger of CBS Sports reported on Tuesday that the Magic and Knicks are at the top of Anthony's wish-list should Denver opt to trade him.

The Nets seems kinda weird...but they do have a young team that could possibly amount to something.

Don't be surprised if we make a push at the playoffs this year.
