Actually, from the day I joined everyone here was saying LeBron was in New York, with no doubt..

Dez, tyo, craig, mario, mexi, probably forgetting some.

What about the bench?
That will have to be adressed though other FA pickups, we're going to be strapped for cash if we're able to get Bron and Amare so Idk if we'll be able to use the MLE, LLE, but Im sure vets starving to potentially be apart of a championship contender would be willing to take that veteran minimum.

Or we could choose to exceed the CAP that much more and use whatever bird years to re-sign Big Al (who has said he would like to stay in NY, asking price? idk) TMac (who Im sure wouldnt mind playing for less since he isnt the same player anymore, as long as he starts) Chris Duhon (say what you want but he was efficient and productive in D'Antoni's system)

But either way we could potentially have CAP next year when Curry expires, allowing us to bring the right pieces around the top two guys.

But thank you Young, I probably have said Lebron was coming to NY way back but never was one of those guys who said it every damn day

duhon is a goner. i could maybe see tmac coming back if lebron goes there but hes only good for so many games - even on the bench. al has issues with coach mike, like many do. and im not sure how many vets will go there in the first season when that still isnt a championship team. and exceeding the luxary tax to sign bench players is crazy. why sign a player for say 4 mill and need to pay 8. not worth it.

that team would still need a year or two and solid drafting aswell to become a contender. but you guys dealt your picks, right?

I wont argue this, thats why I didnt like the D'Antoni hiring, he doesnt focus on defense, I know we're going to have to play defense to win a ring but that could all change if we get the pieces that could get us a ring.

Im sure LeBron would/could talk D'Antoni into it, but that may not even be needed, he knows we need to play defense and could choose to implement more defensive intensity. He got pretty far with Phoenix.

you guys will need an upgrade at center too. you will lose out on the rebounds every night, and that doesnt win games either.

D'Antoni is likely one of the main reasons that LeBron would avoid the Knicks altogether.

The vets will come to NY, and play in MSG the mecca of basketball. Former players will jump at the chance to be apart of a Bron/Amare show in MSG and be apart of the revitilization of a historic franchise.

Money is all an issue, Donnie came in and made some questionable moves when it came to draft picks, coaching decisions, etc but at this point in time most have worked in our favor when considering what we could be able to do this offseason, so Im pretty confident in what he has planned.

yes we do, but like I said, if we can use the MLE thats enough to get us a solid enough big man, idk if there is a center available that fits the mold in this FA class.

Or Tyson Chandler is on the block, he could fit into that fast paced offense nicely add some rebounding and would be a great addition next to Amare.

EC's 10mil expiring is very enticing to teams looking to clear space for next year or to avoid paying the luxury tax.

Please spare us the "MSG is sacred" speech. It's a dump.

And the Knicks aren't historic.. As Michael Wilbon would say, they are the most overrated franchise in the history of sports.

tyson used to look good. but hes like a 7'1 amare. he also has a huge contract, he would be a decent pickup but you cant deal for him. hes oft-injured too. think about it, even after you get lebron and amare you will NEED a lot more than you want to believe.

cheato - forbes would say different, and to say we're not historic makes me question what I originally thought about your basketball knowledge.

Pugz - he's a 12mil expiring, can run the floor, rebounds well, and will get blocks, injury-prone yes thats a chance we'd have to take.

How the Knicks this historic great franchise? They have the same amount of championships as the Houston Rockets, and they aren't historic.. They are just considered historic because of where they play.

Unlike you guys, and every other team in the LBJ hunt, we're still in decent shape for the future without a big time FA. We were actually smart enough to dump all of the dead weight while keeping our core. Meanwhile, if STAT is all the Knicks get, then another decade like this one is plausible for them.

BTW LeBron James was 12 years away from birth during those "Knick glory years" so maybe you (if you were even alive back then), could walk him through those glory years at "the mecca for basketball".

Yall cant be serious that we arent a historic franchise...

The 90's battles with the Bulls/Pacers/Heat we're epic

Yes we have just 2 championships, but what we have done over the course of our exsistence in the NBA makes us a historic franchise.

Plus fck a Wilbon, he's a Bulls fan, who wants LeBron who gives a fck what he has to say about the Knicks? He isnt a factor in ANYTHING

You're not historic.

How many championships did NY win in that time span?

That drought is almost as long as the Jets. Much like the Jets, the Knicks will soon be the "little brother" in NY.

True. But the Knicks have been the joke of the league for the last decade.

Wilbon was saying this New York stuff before Chicago was even in the running..

But still, they aren't that historic.. If the Knicks had the same history in a smaller market they wouldn't be considered historic at all..

Cavs had epic battles with the Bulls in the MJ days, I'm not gonna sit here and call them historic..
