The Warriors are not interested in acquiring Al Jefferson in a trade with the Timberwolves, sources tell Marcus Thompson of the Contra Costa Times.

Minnesota GM David Kahn has been shopping Jefferson throughout the offseason.

tj, joe's contract is hell. it will cripple any chances you had at getting younger via free agency and possibly trade in the near future.

What you mean getting younger via FAcy? Wouldn't that be a bad thing for us?...apparently at SI everything is a bad move for the Hawks....

No disrespect to stunna and the hawks but this is a contract that is gonna be laughed at in about 3-4 years. Ill say Joe has another 2 years of solid production. But right now he's peaking with his talents. Okay how can you explain to your fans in 4 years your payinga 33-34 year old 2 guard. 20 plus million. But its a double edged sword without JJ they arent as good as a team. We'll see how this works but I dont think this will be remembered as a good deal.

The Knicks are willing to pay Stoudemire Amar'e $100 million, something no one else with cap space is willing to do.

The Nets would take Stoudemire if James also promises to sign, a source said, but won’t meet his demands for a maximum contract as a solitary commitment.

not sure who they play at the two, but that would be a nice ass lineup if they got those two. thats not what any other team can say really. the nets do have the best roster if they add two players like lebron+

I know. Not saying it's great. Just saying don't try to crucify the dude so early.

and like i said, none of us were. we were all just simply stating that the contract he got was a bit too much. it will be a huge crutch once you guys look to move him in the future or deal with it.

I just think calling it "hell" is a little much

Al Horford is in the fourth year of his rookie-scale contract, which means he's eligible for a five-year extension.

If Horford doesn't agree to an extension with the Hawks, he would become a restricted free agent next summer.

"I'm not sure, yet," he said when asked if he's open to an extension.

"This is a summer for me to get better and focus on next season. I don't know what their approach is going to be on that. I know that as a team, [the focus is] to get Joe Johnson back."

Johnson has agreed to re-sign with Atlanta and the team is searching for a center. Horford's preference is to play power forward.

"I'm fine with
but my natural position is obviously the four," he said.

josh is wrapped up in big money, jj just got crazy money, now al will be getting 8-11mill a year. thats like 45mill for 3 players - a year. wow

The Raptors are still waiting for Chris Bosh to make a decision, but they haven't completely stopped all other operations.

Toronto is "close" to reaching an agreement in principle with a free agent for some, if not all, of the team's mid-level salary cap exception.

No names have became immediately apparent, according to league sources.

The NBA's mid-level exception is worth more than $5 million, but teams can offer less to players.

Doug Smith of the Toronto Star lists Matt Barnes, Ronnie Brewer, Shannon Brown and J.J. Redick as potential targets.

Are the Bulls really about to luck out and get Wade because of his divorce case?

Wow, kind of excited now to see who the Raps are gonna go after. Hopefully a player who can step in and make an impact right away.

even with lebron and say amare, that team still fights for an 8 spot. lebron would be best is chicago or new jersey. id say maimi would be best, but three guys wont take slight pay cuts.

8?

Never.

we'll have our low post threat in Amare, outside shooter/thrid scorer in Gallo, utlility guy aka Marion factor DubC, ballhandler/goto guy LBJ.

That will at least get us in at 5 in the East

I can cosign this. I can recall talking to you a year or two ago and you saying you'd rather have wade than bron.
