Yeah man. If there has been one thing I love about Italian football it is the defensive mentality first. They might not be flashy like these teams in the offensive department, but you have to watch your end first and then try and score goals. That is exactly what I mean, you should not lose 4-0 to Germany with that talent you have on that team. It also comes down to coaching......Maradona got out <Censored>ing classed.

exactly i would rather have a defensive team that will shut you down and let you score once and then maybe pull of a lucky goal than a <Censored>ty defensive team who might not even score all game and then get scored on

Damn Argentina got their asses kicked, cant wait to watch Spain against Paraguay. Still rooting for Spain, I just love how they play and they are just offensive specialists.

Spain beats Paraguay, Iker Casillas made some amazing saves and a big reason why I picked them to win it all.

Well compared how Spain played today, Germany can own em. They have the best offense (most goals in the tourny) and one of the best defenses. They're just beast all around. I wasn't really impressed with Spain. Especially against Paraguay.

Germany also scored 4 goals against Australia. Ran that score up a bit... Hah. But yes, they do have offensive fire power. I think Spain is much better than the result showed today. They'll have some tough times with Germany, but it'll be close.

Paraguay played very organized, if you want to criticize a team criticize Argentina who played awful today. And all the substitutions were horrible. I was impressed by the way Germany played, but it doesnt mean that they are going to dominate Spain.

That is what Paraguay did to us (Italy). They play this defensive scheme that just frustrates the hell out of you, and they keep a few fast guys high so that they can counter and that one chance is all they need. Today they had a few chances to score on Spain today, unfortunately for them they couldn't.

Italy had more troubles than just Paraguay. They played with no sense of urgency and were very lethargic in every game they played. I was shocked they didnt make it to the next round, but glad so that all those stupid guido's who call themselves "Italian" all the time have nothing to boast about. My friend is trully Italian from Naples and he finds them quite annoying, lmao.

No <Censored> they had more issues... I was just explaining what Paraguay did against us. More or less the same thing.

Today Paraguay had more chances to win than when they faced Italy in my opinion. With the PK, the ball which Casillas shouldve had, and a couple of set pieces. Paraguay just didnt capitalize on their oppportunities.

As for the "guidos" lol. Every place has them, just like any fans. However, the true die-hard Italian fans are some of the most loyal fans I have seen. Portugal fans are the <Censored>tiest here...

I just find it very interesting comparing real italian's to New Yorker italians because its a very big contrast. My prediction of Netherlands vs. Spain is soooo close!! But the more I watch Germany, the more I think that they are going to beat Spain because David Villa is the Spanish offense and Fernando Torres hasnt done much, even some people considering he should be benched. I think Germany can swarm Villa, like they did to Messi today. So we will just have to wait and see.

Hell yeah Germany kicked some ass. I knew they wouldn't lose. Spain should have won by way more than 1, but oh well, they still won.

Seriously guys. Everyone is saying Argentina played bad? Hmm. I wonder why? I also wonder why England played bad against Germany. It isn't a coincident is it?

Of course not.

Germany was just causing them so much trouble. I'm just giving credit where it is due, and many fail to see.

I'm betting Spain "plays bad" too.

England played <Censored>ty because they are <Censored>ty. Argentina didn't play that well, no. I disagree with what Maradona did. It was more being out-coached than anything. Look at this... they were down 1-0 and they COMPLETELY sold out to get that one goal. That just opened so many damn lanes for the Germans. It's as simple as that. I'm not knocking Germany, but still. That wasn't the best Argentina. No.

I think the point that he was trying to make is that Germany brings out the flaws of other teams, and makes them play the way Germany wants them to, not the other way around. Germany has made their opponents look silly with their scoring, and that takes the other team's gameplan and throws it out the window.
