The ref had to control that game. The Dutch were going to try and play a very aggressive style to slow the pace of the game down and Spain as a team. He did a magnificent job as far as I am concerned. Congratulations Spain.

I also called it against Netherlands winning 1-0, so I think I did go out on a limb. And if youve noticed there have been very few teams who have won it all and Spain wasnt one of them. Only 8 teams have won the World Cup. Now 9.

Regardless, CC is right, it wasn't like Spain wasn't projected at this start of this tournament to do some serious damage. They are only two years removed from being crowned as the best in Europe.
