I'm starting to believe John Hammond was the orchestrator behind the few smart moves we had made. He's doing work with Milwaukee while we sit on our asses.
he was. dumars is mangina.

Yeah no <Censored>. We need a GM with some balls unlike Dumars' <Censored>.

Holy <Censored>. WHAT THE <Censored>!

The Minnesota Timberwolves have been burning up the phone lines the last few days looking for a trade.

They've discussed deals to move up to No. 2 for Evan Turner, a 4 for 7 swap with the Pistons, and have looked at moving their other draft picks (16 and 23) to either get up in the draft or to add another veteran.

However, the most consistent thing I'm hearing is that the team appears to be determined to move Al Jefferson. According to sources they've offered him to Detroit for Tayshaun Prince this week and have also contacted the Pacers about their interest in Jefferson for Troy Murphy's expiring contract.

However, the latest thing I'm hearing out of Minnesota may have the most legs. Sources have told me that the Wolves and Grizzlies have been discussing a swap that would send Jefferson to the Grizzlies for Zach Randolph. The deal would allow the Wolves to save a lot of money over time. Randolph has one year, $17.6 million left on his contract. Jefferson has three years, $42 million left.

According to sources, Randolph's ongoing legal problems aren't an imediment to Minnesota who is doing the trade in an effort to get out of Jefferson's deal and free up more playing time for Kevin Love and potentially Derrick Favors if he falls to them with the No. 4 pick.

While sources stressed that the two sides were still just discussing the deal, one source sounded optimistic that it could actually happen.

The Wolves continue to look for an Al Jefferson deal after being rebuffed by Detroit over the weekend (Wolves offered Jefferson for Tayshaun Prince and No. 7) and the Grizzlies (for Zach Randolph) earlier in the day.
So its actually a good thing we didn't accept it. We need a pick this draft.

The Pistons have been exploring a number of deals, but at this point they seem pretty set at No. 7. Of course they would to land Demarcus Cousins. But the Pistons seem content to take Greg Monroe or Ed Davis here. While the team is high on both Monroe, Davis and Ekpe Udoh, Detroit is still leaning toward Greg Monroe here if he's on the board.

Derrick Rose could be enjoying his off-season on a beach in Hawaii or in Chicago with friends. But beach time and clubbing don't make you an MVP.

Instead, the Chicago Bulls star will spend much of the summer in a Santa Monica, Calif., high school gym, with fellow NBA point guard Russell Westbrook. Under the guidance of trainer Rob McClanaghan, Rose and Oklahoma City Thunder guard Westbrook have begun six-days-a-week summer workouts.
Rose is never satisfied. He knows he can get better.

Repetition, repetition, repetition.

Want to know specifics?

Ken Konecki, a shooting coach/trainer based in Los Angeles, coaches high school, college and NBA players. This workout is similar to Rose's but belongs to a college player who's just finished the NCAA tournament and is preparing for the NBA draft.

Length: Two weeks long, two sessions per day, two hours per session, about 7,000 shots per week ( Kobe Bryant does 5,000 shots per week in the off-season, tops in the NBA.)
Its good to see Rose and Westbrook working out together. If rose gets that 3-point shot...its gonna be trouble because his midrange jumper is sick.

DraftExpress.com also reported (with some skepticism) via Twitter that Minnesota offered Jefferson, along with the 16th and 23rd selections in the first round, hoping to yield Prince, the seventh pick, and Chris Wilcox.
The first deal, I wouldn't of done either cause I want the pick, but I'd DEFINITELY do this deal if Monroe is off the board at 7.

Jeez, they really want Tayshaun. Dumars needs to try and work out a deal that's in our favor though lol. Like 4 and Jefferson for Tayshaun, 7, and Cocks.

Maybe give them Daye. I'd even give them a future 1st. And this years second.
Jefferson, 4th for Prince, Daye, 7th, 36th, future first.
I'd go all in for a chance at an Cousins-Jefferson frontcourt.

That's too much though, IMO. If we gave them that much they need to give us the second first they have this year. Or another player/future first.

It's really not that much.
Daye is expandable, and we won't be a lottery team anymore if we pulled that deal off so the future first wouldn't be that big.

Maybe they give us like Sessions, IDK.

Yeah I guess so. We still have quite some time, so you never know, we could pull something off. If Minnesota is that desperate to get rid of Al and receive Tay I am sure Dumars could work something out. If need be, Dumars just needs to think... What Would Hammond Do? Because he had the balls.

Hahaha yeah no <Censored>. I oughta smack him for the large sum of deals he has turned down in order to keep the washed up Tay and Rip.

I can't believe he hasn't traded up to select Cousins.
