Mavs need to get a SG with size and another big man.
That's why a lot of Mavs fans were having orgies over the rumor of Dalembert and Iggy for JH5 and Dampier and Barea

No say it isnt so!!!!! I LOVE Barea. He needs to be a Maverick for life. I know this sounds really stupid, but I have seen that guy play and that dude can really be a good starter. I love his speed. I think we are in more need of another big man and we should address that if we want to face the other powerhouses in the West. Specifically to defend Kmart, Duncan, Gasol, and Boozer.

They said they've already had 10 teams call about him since the first of the year. We're not asking for a star in return. Heck one rumor was to Miami for Haslem and another piece

Trust me Barea is the fan favorite who everyone loves and adores, but he's not the future of the Mavs PG, that is Beaubois and CAlathes. as sad as it is, he is expendable

You act like he's <Censored>ty he's not that bad. He just hasn't fit in with our team anymore and it's a bad marriage and so we've been looking to make a move with him. A move for him would likely put him back on the map as a 15 PPG type of player. He's just not part of the Mavs plans for this year even

Two teams have reportedly inquired about Bobcats reserve guard Acie Law, according to a source close to the situation that spoke with Tommy Dee of TheKnicksBlog.

“One of them is definitely New York,” and the other team is “an Eastern Conference team as well,” says the source.

The source also believes that “it’s pretty clear” Law will be on the move.

Charlotte head coach Larry Brown is determined to move point guard D.J. Augustin for a veteran big man.

Michael Jordan and Rod Higgins wanted to draft Brook Lopez with the ninth pick in 2008, but Brown demanded they pass on the center for Augustin.

The Suns are talking to the Sixers about trading Amare Stoudemire for Andre Iguodala and Samuel Dalembert.

According to the report from ESPN, the Sixers are the side holding up the deal and nothing is imminent. But the deal could be finalized before the trade deadline because the Sixers would like to unload Dalembert's contract.

On a parallel track, the Suns are preparing a contract offer for Stoudemire but he wants a maximum-dollar deal and a commitment from owner Robert Sarver that the team will continue to spend money.

The Suns are not inclined to make Stoudemire a max offer. The team's future spending plans are unknown but the club has been one of the more cost-conscious organizations in the league over recent years.

One NBA source told Yahoo! that the Suns have received only “trash” offers for Amar'e Stoudemire, though there are several teams who have expressed interest in him.

The Miami Heat recently scouted two of the Suns’ games, even though the teams won’t play each other again this season.

A viable rumor making the rounds Wednesday had the Bulls and Celtics possibly making a deal with Kirk Hinrich and Ray Allen as the principals.

A package of Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas and the expiring contract of Jerome James for Allen and another player would work under the salary cap.

Chicago would be interested in retaining Allen next season at a reduced price.

League sources say the Kings continue to tell inquiring teams that they have no interest in moving Kevin Martin, especially in scenarios intended solely to create salary cap space by freeing them of his contract. Martin has been frequently mentioned in trade rumors, largely due to the perceived opinion that he will be unable to share a backcourt with Tyreke Evans.

Kevin Martin continues to draw interest from around the NBA, despite his struggles since he returned Jan. 15 from left wrist surgery.

Sources tell The Sacramento Bee that the Kings are telling all clubs that call that Martin is not available. Houston was the latest to be rebuffed.
I'm guessing they were offering T-Mac? If it involved Brooks tho, I'd be down for sure.

Doubtful that Houston would include Brooks who was close to being an all star in less then a year of starting..

there's a new rumor going around about Caron Butler to the Mavs. I would rather have him than Kevin Martin. I could really see a JH5-Butler trade doing good for both sides. JH5 needs a fresh start and Butler I think would do good here

As stated previously in this cyberspace, [Kevin] Martin tops the Mavs' list in their search for a dependable second scorer to flank Dirk Nowitzki. Sources say, however, that Dallas would likely have to recruit a third team to present the quality big man presumably needed to prompt the Kings to alter their thinking.

As the Feb. 18 trade deadline approaches, the Cavaliers and 76ers have been most frequently mentioned as suitors for Phoenix's Amare Stoudemire.

A deal with Cleveland would provide the Suns with a significant amount of salary cap and luxury tax relief. A package centered around young forward J.J. Hickson and center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who received most of his salary up front this season, could get Phoenix out of luxury tax territory.

Trading with Philadelphia could get the Suns more help right away, perhaps someone like Andre Iguodala, Marreese Speights or even Detroit's Ben Gordon if a third team gets involved.

The problem that the Suns are encountering in trade talks is Amare's recent declaration that he may not opt out of his contract, putting him on the books for $17.7 million next season.

Teams looking for an expiring contract will have strong doubts about acquiring Stoudemire if that is the case.

Rumors about BG already? We'd be stupid to move him, I'd rather move CV if we'd be getting another PF back..
