The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed free agent guard Kevin Ollie to a contract, Executive Vice President and General Manager Sam Presti announced today. “We are excited to welcome Kevin Ollie to Oklahoma City,” Presti said. “He brings experience, leadership and professionalism to our team as we continue to develop our roster on and off the floor.”

Rumor has it, Sessions favors playing in NY because he is a lock to start.

And Nate is said to be ready to accept a 1yr/5mil deal sometime this week.

Bringing them both in definently gives us some trade possibilities.

Negotiations between the Knicks and David Lee are "nowhere new," the power forward's agent, Mark Bartelstein, said Monday.

The Knicks are "open minded" and "willing to listen," said Bartelstein, when the topic of sign-and-trades have been broached.

Bartelstein and Donnie Walsh have begun talking in general terms about a one-year deal that would make Lee an unrestricted free agent next summer, when at least half the league's teams will have significant salary cap room.

"There's a possibility a one-year deal could happen," Bartelstein said. "We're not ruling anything out. If it’s a one-year deal, we’ll try to get a one-year deal that compensates him for who he is."

Sounds like he would still want 10mil in the one year deal.

I wonder what Walsh will do with this, moving that 10mil contract wont be that hard since its expiring but I know he wouldnt want to take on any contracts in the trade....

Alan Hahn of Newsday reports that the Knicks have made an offer to Ramon Sessions that is "slightly less" than the team's full mid-level exception, which starts at about $5.8 million.

Yet Hahn reports that the two sides are "not close to an agreement."

The Knicks are set to have a large amount of cap room next summer and the team is wary of compromising its free-agent plans by adding too much salary to the 2010-2011 ledger.

The Bucks are interested in keeping restricted free-agent point guard Ramon Sessions, but are only willing to match an offer up to $3 million per season.

A source with knowledge of Milwaukee's thinking told Alan Hahn of Newsday that the cost-conscious Bucks won't go any higher than $3 million annually.

A sign-and-trade has not been discussed between the Bucks and Knicks, who are very interested in Sessions.

It is believed that the guard's representation is looking for a deal worth the full midlevel exception (five years and $32 million).

The Atlanta Hawks reached an agreement in principle with free agent forward Marvin Williams, a source close to the process told ESPN.com.

Williams is expected to sign a five year, $37.5 million contract as early as Friday, according to the source. The deal also has some hard to reach incentives that could boost the value of the contract to $43 million.

Williams' agreement came after more than a week of speculation and reports that a deal was done, but sources close to both sides of the process insisted that the deal was close but not done. Now, it appears that both sides are ready to take that final step.

Hawks spent a lot of money this offseason to keep what they have already in place, plus Crawford. Is it good enough to get further than the Divisional Round of the postseason?

There have also been rumblings the Sacramento Kings have recently inquired about Sessions. However, the extent of the Kings' interest isn't known.

SpearsNBAYahoo: If Leon Powe's rehabbing knee is OK with team doctors Tuesday in Cleve, he will sign a 2-year deal with the Cavs, a source told Y! Sports.

The deal for Powe would be for the minimum salary, with Cavs holding option for 2010-'11. Powe is expected to return by All-Star break.

T-Wolves Complete Deal with Ryan Hollins
The Minnesota Timberwolves have worked out final contract details with restricted free agent center Ryan Hollins.

The Timberwolves signed the former Dallas center to an offer sheet on Aug. 3. The Mavericks had seven days to match Minnesota's three-year deal worth more than $7 million, but declined. The deal was completed Monday.

Celtics general manager Danny Ainge is still trying to figure out how the team will acquire Marquis Daniels.

Ainge told the Boston Herald that the club is "trying to figure out the best way to get him here."

Unless the Pacers and Celtics are able to get a third team in on a sign-and-trade, Boston is expected to sign Daniels for the $1.9 biannual exception.

Hawks signed Joe Smith

Joe Smith has agreed to a one-year deal with the Hawks, a source told ESPN's Ric Bucher. The contract is reportedly worth the veteran's minimum.

Smith, the first overall pick in the 1995 NBA Draft, has played for nine teams. The veteran forward picked Atlanta over Cleveland, where he played last season.

New York is reportedly trying to complete a trade that would free up the room to sign Sessions without impacting the team's 2010 plan.
