They're showing interest in him, and it seems like they feel like they need to spend the money they have on someone.

I wouldnt be surprised if they ended up signing him.

While the Sixers remain in a sign-and-trade mode concerning unrestricted free agent Andre Miller, a source indicated that Ed Stefanski has also been monitoring a situation involving Golden State Warriors free agent guard C.J. Watson and the Orlando Magic.

The source confirmed that Watson had earlier rejected a 1-year, $2.3 million offer from the Sixers. If Watson were not to sign with the Magic, it is possible that the Sixers could make a fresh offer. Derrick Powell, one of Watson's agents, said Watson is working out regularly in Las Vegas, where he makes his home.
Watson is cool but I want a starter not another backup.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP)—The Indiana Pacers have waived point guard Jamaal Tinsley(notes), ending an often strained relationship.

The Pacers announced the move Wednesday. A Pacers spokesman said the NBA will process the request Thursday, and if Tinsley clears waivers, he will become a free agent.

As a result, next week’s grievance arbitration has been canceled.

Tinsley was owed $14.7 million over the next two years. The team did not release details of the resolution and says it will have no further comment.

Tinsley has been with Indiana since 2001-02, and was hampered by injuries and legal problems in recent years. The Pacers told him not to report to training camp last season, and did not allow him to play.

Tinsley has career averages of 10.4 points and 7.0 assists.
ok finally.
let see. Cleveland, Orlando, Boston, San Antonio will be interested.
Maybe NY or Memphis? how about Philly?

I highly doubt the Cavs persue him, and I doubt any contender in general goes after him.

The 76ers are continuing their search for a veteran point guard.

According to a source close to the situation, Philadelphia is considering Jamaal Tinsley and C.J. Watson.

The Pacers waived Tinsley on Wednesday, avoiding an arbitration hearing with the disgruntled point guard, who didn't play at all during the 2008-09 season.

The 76ers offered Watson a one-year, $2.3 million contract, but he declined the deal earlier this offseason.
Tinsley can play. But he's a negative influence on a ball club. I dont want him to ruin Jrue or Thad or any of our young players with his attitude. I wouldnt mind him if he could check his ego and attitude at the door.

Alot of Knicks news today

Apparently we've stopped pursuing Sessions

Nate rejected the Greek teams offer, and said he'd rather remain in NY

And The Bulls are the favorite destination in a S&T for DLee, Id have to imagine Hinrich would be in the deal.

Getting Kirk wouldn't be bad, he'd help a lot in the rebuilding phase considering you wouldn't have a reliable PG to help run the team.

Yeah, it would be a good trade for us, whatever S&T we pull off I hope its a trade that lands us a PG.

I would be open to Kirk for Lee, and whatever else may be added.

Trading Kirk for David would mean less time for Noah or Tyrus. Maybe you guys add a top 10 protected first and one of those two are added aswell? Not sure but David Lee for Kirk would be fine straight up but I just see more being added.

The Spurs have agreed to terms with free-agent big man Theo Ratliff.

Ratliff agreed to a one-year deal with San Antonio worth the veteran's minimum, which is a tad more than $1.3 million.

He spent last season with Philadelphia.

The spurs have improved a lot this offseason IMO. Ratliff may be getting up there but he is still a solid C on the roster.

There is hope dez,

Sources tell WAOW in Wisconsin that the Knicks are ready to offer Ramon Sessions a five-year contract.

With a first-season salary around $5.8 million, the Knicks would be using all or nearly all of their mid-level exception.

The Bucks would have seven days to match the offer sheet or let Sessions join the Knicks.

Yeah the Jazz already own our pick this year...

But I dont think the Bucks will match, theres a reason we gave him a 5 year offer, thats alot harder to move.

I got my fingers crossed that Sessions is our next new addition...

Heres what I was talking about earlier...

The agent for Knicks guard Nate Robinson said Wednesday he is confident the two sides will eventually work out a deal that will keep the guard in New York for at least one more season.

"We don't have a deal yet but we're negotiating to get a deal done with the Knicks," Aaron Goodwin said. "Nate wants to stay in New York."

Goodwin refused to discuss terms of a possible deal, but according to a Knicks source, Robinson is expected to sign a one-year contract worth between $4 million and $5 million, or at least $1 million more than his qualifying offer.

Goodwin has had talks with European clubs about Robinson, but the agent denied that he's used those conversations as leverage with the Knicks.

"We did not call up the Greek club (Olympiakos) to drum up an opportunity for Nate," he said. "They called us."

One league executive suggested that Robinson's deal is being delayed due to negotiations between the Knicks and their other restricted free agent, David Lee. For weeks, Lee's agent has made it clear he is looking for a contract that will pay his client $12 million annually.

The only team with cap space to sign Lee outright is Portland. There is also a possibility of a sign-and-trade with a number of teams. The Knicks would prefer to sign Lee to a one-year deal, which would enable them to retain his Bird Rights and also give the club flexibility for the free agent class of 2010. If Robinson were to sign for $5 million, Lee would likely ask for $10 million since, unlike Robinson, he is a full-time starter.
Then take the damn qualifying offer Nate! lol
