Angels always give me a scare when we play them. Luckily we won, and not only that, Twins lost to the Mariners, so, they are now 2.5 back from us. Which gives us a little breathing room.

The Braves' Tommy Hanson, one of the game's top pitching prospects, makes his Major League debut today.

Dice-K (and all Sox fans) could use another decenter, hopefully better, start from him. I'd be happy with 5 or 6 innings and 3 runs or less.

I got a kick out of this comment I found.

Ortiz's 2nd homer of the season:

The homer was very cheap, clanging off the outside of the Pesky Pole about three feet up. Plus, it was off a Triple-A pitcher in Kris Benson. It would have been a foul ball in any park other than Fenway, and an uninspiring single or double even if he had hit the same kind of liner five feet to the left.

Indians facing my favorite pitcher. Bartolo Colon.

Just prior to the 2002 trade deadline, Colón and Tim Drew were traded to the Montreal Expos in exchange for Lee Stevens, Brandon Phillips, and prospects Grady Sizemore and Cliff Lee. Colón finished 2002 with a combined 20-8 record and a 2.93 ERA, including 76 earned runs with 70 walks in 233.1 innings, three shutouts, and eight complete games.
Also, Chris Giminez with his 2nd career homer. and then Luis Valbuena makes it back to back for his first career homer. 3-0 Indians.

5-0 Mets after an awesome 1st inning. Some great run production for Livan.

Apparently Jake Westbrook had his first rehab start yesterday. Went 3 innings, gave up 1 hit. A few more rehab starts and he'll be returning.

watching the royals offense is like going down the street in the park and seeing an old peoples softball game going on

If Westbrook can regain the form he had at the start of 2008, we'll have a nice trio with Lee-Pavano-Westbrook, and Jeremy Sowers is starting to look a lot better.

Victor Martinez with a solo homer to make it 5-0, his 10th on the year.

EDIT: And the Indians go back to back for the 2nd time today, Choo goes opposite field for the homer.
