Mexi you don't think this will work for us cause you think your Lakers are high and mighty and are going to destroy everyone.

And no Dumars didn't make this trade just for CAP relief, and he didn't just say "Why Not."

Dumars is one of the best GM's in the league, he doesn't make trades "just because."

He wants the title, if he doesn't he gets the CAP relief. It's a win-win. If you don't think this trade makes us better, IDK what to tell you.

ESPN also has Billups and McDyess wearing #0, so I'm assuming that's just what they give them until they figure it out.

I highly doubt a 2 year man wouldn't let a superstar get his jersey number. AI probably let Stuckey keep it.

Already showing he is a team player ;)

Haha this press conference was good. I'm not watching but I am listening via the internet.

He was making fun of the practice thing and stuff.

IVERSON WILL BE WEARING NUMBER 1! I completly called that one :]

Aw...what cop-out. I was hoping he would wear #4. I wouldn't expect Stuckey to have given up #3...as Iverson is only going to be wearing a Pistons' uni for the remainder of this season anyways.

#1 though? First off, I hate what the #1 looks like on the Pistons' uniform...looks like a rectangle, not a number....secondly, it's one of those things where that number will always be Chauncey's in my mind.

Now your going to see fans taping up the backs of their Chauncey jerseys and featuring "Iverson" written with a sharpie.

EDIT: Just remembered...Dumars wore #4, so that's not happening. Forget about #2 as well.

I better be buying the Iverson jersey. I don't care how long he stays for.

lol i read about that too rip. it was like a 3-team trade or something and it was like the kidd trade where a no name player pulled a no trade clause out of their ass.

EDIT: according to yahoo! answers, someone said:

It was a 12-man deal between Philadelphia, LA Lakers, Detroit, and Miami. It involved Iverson and Geiger going to Detroit, Philadelphia getting Eddie Jones from Charlotte, Glen Rice from LA, and Jerome Williams from Detroit. But Matt Geiger had a 15% trade "kicker" to be paid by any team acquiring him written into his contract. Detroit would only go through with the deal if Geiger waived that obligation. Geiger refused. Trade was scuttled

Yep, that's exactly what he told me lol.

So that is proof that AI wasn't just for the CAP.
