MJ speaking that truth. Look at how he's still dominating and dunking and he's 45.

MJ speaking that truth.

seen both play in their primes - no contest.

MJ was just a defensive beast in addition to his offensive magic... sorry Laker fans.. Kobe is a great player and all, but MJ just was the best player I've ever seen play

No argument here, MJ is just amazing. Not only is his jumpshot perfecttt, but even his defense is crazy good.

ARGUMENT HERE

I've seen both play as well, to me Jordan does not have the natural athletic talent and shooting ability, I've never seen a player make the difficulty of shots that Kobe makes time and time again, Kobe would win to me hands down

I was fortunate enought to see MJ play as well. And I would put him ahead of Kobe, but not by that much.

like jordan said in the video, I was talking in their prime...

Jordan not athletic? were we watching the same thing, or were you referring to his 30+ yr old days?

most on this board aren't even old enough to remember the mid20's MJ - the one who dominated players on both sides of the court. but fair enough, Kobe is good, just not MJ-like

So basically Kobe will be more consistent throughout his career?

I didn't say Jordan wasn't athletic, but Kobe is unhumanly athletic, Kobe is just a different type of human

MJ had a 44 inch vertical and in his prime he had 4.3 speed.

Kobe has a 36 inch vertical and is nowhere near as fast as a young mj.

And another factor into the mind bogglin plays Mj has way more because he could palm the ball way easier thansk to his huge hands. Your reaching with this. Kobe isnt on MJ's level.

Smith says Jordan is the hardest worker he's ever coached. In high school Jordan hustled so, he was nicknamed The Rabbit. Rabbit, run. When he enrolled at Chapel Hill , Jordan ran the 40-yard dash in 4.6 seconds. This fall he ran a 4.3. By running and lifting weights he has substantially built up his upper body and gained 12 pounds in two years, most of it in the shoulders.

And also, Jordan like everyone else thats played in the past 30+ years couldn't put up 81 points in a game, Kobe is just on a different level, and I don't want to hear the "Jordan didn't have to shoot as much as Kobe" excuse there because Kobe took 46 shots the night he scored 81, and Jordan once took 49 shots in a game, 3 more shots and didn't even get close to the amount of points Kobe put up.

Regardless of what that article says, the man did not run a 4.3, it could have been exagerrated or being that it wasn't official its very possible the man holding the stop watch hit stop too early

Scottie pieppen along with others said Jordan could've scored 100 in a game if he wanted to. Kobe isnt on MJ's level. And he's not this super athlete your makin him out to be. hH isnt even more athletic then lebron.

Kobe himself says MJ is the greatest just stop it man.
