? Jordan took more shots than Kobe ever did and still didn't score as many points so how can you make that argument

one game doesn't mean Kobe is better shooter...

wilt scored 100pts in a game - does that mean he's a better shooter than either of the them?

i think not

Wilt played in a different time period than these 2, where he was an anomaly and different from anyone else, and there was no offensive 3 second violation at the time, Kobe and Jordan played with mainly the same rules in basically the same era

Did u see the nba finals this year. Kobe is no Mj and isnt better than MJ point blsnk. Even the lakers fans are admitting it. Its debateable whether he is even the best player in the league

If you know about Jordan, he also hit a brick wall when he faced that tough a defense, when he faced the Pistons in the early 90s, they brought him down just the way these celtics brought down Kobe.

But jordan also found a way to beat them. Kobe isnt better than jordan man. Honestly when kobe admits Mj is the best why are we even talkin about it.

Jordan beat them the first time they played? The first time they played the Pistons won the series in 6 games, as the Celtics did, as I expect Kobe to beat the Celtics if they meet again

HAHA Now that everything I say is proving you wrong its wasting your time, Jordan lost too so don't make it seem like Kobe losing this year in the finals, against a more talented team than Jordan ever faced makes him less than Jordan

Obviously Kobe doesn't have all of that cause he doesn't have as many years in the league, We are talking who wins 1 on 1 and Kobe has it, Of course Jordans records are well over Kobe's, but Kobe is 29, at 29 Jordan either had 2 championships or just won his 3rd, and at 29 Kobe is a 10 time all star, your crazy if you think Kobe doesn't go to 5 more all star games, Kobe has 8 all defensive first teams, one less than Jordan and hes 29

And im sorry but those awards from magazines and newspapers mean nothing

LOl aw here we go

Check that out. Kobe himself admits MJ is the greatest end it man.

During his career, Jordan was unstoppable in the Finals, topping 30 points a record 25 times, and besting legendary Hall-of-Famers Magic Johnson, James Worthy, Clyde Drexler, Charles Barkley, as well as the legendary Hall-of-Fame duo John Stockton and Karl Malone (twice).

In his 35 Finals appearances, he led the Bulls in scoring an astounding 32 times (91.4%).

By comparison, Bryant has led the Lakers in scoring 7 times in 24 Finals games (29.2%).

Bryant has however topped the 30-point plateau six times in the NBA Finals. Which becomes even more impressive considering Jordan topped the 40-point plateau in the Finals seven times.

But still, many comparisons between the two are very close. For instance, Jordan’s career NBA Finals scoring average of 33.6 PPG is only two points above Bryant’s 2008 Game 4 shooting percentage of 31.6%.

Dude, I gotta admit that Nj deff has a point here. He's proven you wrong mad times already. The fact of the matter is, Kobe hasn't even finished his career so you can't be like "OK, LETS GO LOOK AT THEIR CAREER STATS AND THEN YOU TELL ME WHOS BETTERR!!!". I honestly still believe that MJ was better than Kobe, but after hearing what Nj said, I'm confident in saying that he wasn't far off from MJ. I mean, if you look at what Kobe has done in his career SO FAR, it really makes you wonder how good hes gonna be the next 4-5 years with a solid team around him and how many more championships/MVPs he could possibly win.

Kobe choked in the finals? Its called defense. Kobe is human like everyone else and if a team plays really good team defense on ONE player and the REST of the team choke, how can you blame that on him? The Lakers lost because the Celtics made sure they had at least 3 guys on Kobe when he drove and that Gasol and Odom choked big time. And is it Kobe's fault they blew a 30 point lead in Game 4? Oh please. How about when the Lakers couldn't buy a foul in Game 2? Was that Kobe's fault too?

Not sayin Kobe is better than MJ, but hes deff very close and one-on-one, there would be a contest, and you know it. By the way, Kobe is the best player in the league, nooo doubttttt.

Yea and to build off what Yezzir said, everyone always says that people mess up, Kobe choked, kobe didn't step up... maybe the Celtics were just a better team and there was nothing the Lakers could do about it, the Celtics played great D I give them credit

What has he proved me wrong with? He said mj didnt run a 4.3 i showed him. I showed him kobe said he's the best. We look at the accomplishments He discredits them. if they were playin 10 games of one on one. Kobe would get 2 or 3. But mj would get the majority. We comapred athletic ability Mj has him in that. Another factor into them 2 playing Mj has a higher Basketball iq. Any fan can see that.Any fan who saw mj in the 80's will tell you he's better than Kobe. Ask jarrod ask your parents. Then he brings up wthe finals. MJ never lost the finals and he went against Magic Johnson his first time.

Nobody here has ever denied that the celtics has played great D. Do u honestly believe the celtics could have beaten any of the championship bulls?

Btw: I love kobe's game. But come on Paul pierce outplayed the guy in the finals. What player ever outplayed MJ in the finals. And yezzir dont deny Lebron has given kobe some comp. I recall one game in La this year where Lebron beasted the lakers.

Once again, Kobe was going up against the Celtics defense and had harder odds, Pierce didnt go up against that d
