hes not going to develop into a spot up shooter, or pure pass first point guard. he can develop a better shot but in the end hes always going to be what he is because thats what makes him so good. and if he cant get over his injuries then hes not going to be that guy.

i really dont think people realize how much this sets him back. people can say ap made the acl injury look easy to come back from but look at the other players in the nba and the other sports that are making it look easy to come back from. then look at rose..

This isn't an ACL injury though.  The success rate for players after a meniscus tear is pretty much at 100%.

Westbrook, Bledsoe and Griffin have all had similar injuries, and are all still world class athletes.

Wade tore his back in college, but he had his removed.

To say he'll never play again is dumb. if Greg Oden can get signed than so could a destroyed D Rose

If AP can play dominant football after an ACL in one knee, and Westbrook can return to form after a meniscus in one knee, Rose can do it considering the injuries were to separate knees.

Also, let's remember that a repaired meniscus is significantly better than a removed meniscus.

I firmly believe that Rose can return and be Rose, and I think we're overreacting because we've seen what's happened to players with deterioration in their knees (Roy, Bynum, etc).

Anybody know if Rose's knees have shown any of those signs? They've both been injured on freak plays. It's not like he was just running and boom.

At this point, we should start asking how injury prone is he? Not whether he'll come back, because this isn't really a injury that keeps guys from ever returning to the form they were before injuries.

Bynum, Roy and Paul all had menisci removed from their knees during surgery.  Roy had ALL of the meniscus removed from his knees, which led to his degenerative condition.

Whereas Rose hasn't. This is exactly why I think he can return to form.
